I killed in and around that house for 3 hours and didn't get a single militia skeleton.
I went to where the grass turns into sand (from Cabilis) turned to the right, and went up to the plateau where the PoK book is on Live and killed there, and got 4 'a militia skeletons' to spawn within an hour or so.
I mostly stayed near the flat ground, but I would venture into the trees to kill if I saw mobs up.

So, I worked hard to get a charred bone box, as it's a heck of a lot easier than the others, and I had 2 shards already. I went and I waited by the ruins. And waited. And waited.
Finally, I decided they must have been talking about the round ruins sw of the ones I was waiting at. None there either.
So I gotta be wondering: What's up with that?

Clearing things up. The militia skels drop the chard bone shard. You need four of these for the geozite tool quest (Iksar Warrior). This is one of the possible quests for the geozite tool.

From looking at the description for the quest, it states that the SCORCHED shards, NOT the Charred ones are for the quest. Anyone know what the Charred ones are for, it any?

Watch out, I was at the abandoned building, at approx. -1000 by +2000, hunting Militia Skeletons. Well, there I was, sleying them in short order, when a Giant Militia Skeleton spawned. He ate my scaley skin and turned me inside out. If you kill too many of these freaks, start running after about 20... These things CAN get pretty nasty by themselves aswell. Lots of the time you get ones 5-6, but every now & then you'll be a lvl 7, and you'll get one that cons green. He's looking at you funny, so you ********* him! Unfortunatley, if they con green at lvl 7, welcome to the fun world of Verant. These can actually be up to lvl 9.
What do you get for the quest?

Is this used for any Monk useful quests? I picked one up after killing a militia skel in FoB and although it says "no drop" it did not ask me if I wanted to pick it up.

As a relatively new guy who is definitely new to my L5 shaman, should I bother with these shards? Or do they only help warriors?

Today i found 4 Chared Bone Shards off these Militia Skeletons and i combined them in a bowl type container, now i have a Full Chared Bone Box ( or someum like that) and i don't know who to give this to! plz post!

You want to take those to Warlord Zyzz. He is located on the balcony overlooking the path out of the caity walls. As you leave the city, turn right. You should see a guard and his pet. Go up the ramp, find the balcony, and there is Warlord Zyzz.

I believe you give 4 scorpion pincers to this Warlord.... unless this is a second quest? I gave him 4 scorpion pincers but he didn't give out a second quest in square brackets.

Ok, check this out. Real easy. The building mentioned in previous posts; right there. Go down the path from E. Cabilis. At the newbie section, turn left. You will come to a ruined building at LOC (-1052, 2194, -51). In that building I killed my 2nd MS. Before that, I killed one right outside the building at LOC (-1249, 2275,-34). Right after I killed the one in the building, I killed another on the other side of the building. I didn't get a loc code for the 3rd, nor did I actually see one spawn, but I killed 3 in five minutes at the building if that tells you something.

I came across one when I was around the 1-3 lev when I knew anything above decaying was bad. I steered clear for obvious reasons. I also found a dead one when I was around the 4-5 lev. I looted it and got the charred bone, but now that I am level 10, I can't find them. Next time someone sees one spawn, could you do us all a favor, and type /loc? It'll only take a second to jot down the numbers and will help us all alot. I will do the same if per chance it is me. Thanks a lot.

militia skellys can be found near a ruined house of the right at the edge of the grass near cabilis.

I was running around yesterday and bumped into one of these guys with my untwinked lvl 5 monk. Didn't even think to con him but he didn't put up much of a fight. Loot was like 3silver and a NoDrop Charred Bone piece. I found it at the small ruined house just to the left of the path coming out of the city.
Yup, i tried hunting these at lvl 5 as well. Only problem was that i didnt know anywhere else it spawned, and as it spawned every 10 or so min (probably longer) i gave up.
If your trying to kill these, they're fairly easy (for a monk anyway), but be careful as a skelton (lvl 4-6) spawns near the ruins as well, and ive had it jump in as well.

I've found the odd one, but only killed one. I've never seen where they walk from, because their normally standing still, if anyone can help narrow the search down, i'd appreciate it. I need the bone rib looking pieces for the tool quest.

I only know the one spawn at this time, and its near some ruins.
as you head out of cabilis follow the path to the pit. where the grassy area meets the sand, head to your left along the line of grass, soon youll see some ruins (pretty small) with lots of low mobs walking through, walk a little past it, and im pretty sure the militia skele spawns on the slope going up from those ruins. youll see it when you get there.
Just make sure your round lvl 5 or 6.

Mkay. I was going nuts trying to track these buggers down. Randomly found 2, until I started noting which direction they came from. Here's what I found. The are that APPARENTLY spawns them all the time, day or night!
Come from Cabalis, stop at bottom of path down Newbie Ridge. (Where grass turns to desert)
Follow the Grass/Desest line to your right. (The right side of your body facing Cabalis)
Follow it until you come up to a small plateau above desert area to your left. Still a lot of newbie creatures.
Now you should see some around. I came up here and saw one during midday just standing there. Attacked and killed one. Waited about 2 minutes. BAM, another spawned. Just to be sure, waited again. BAM another one. 8)

If you've never been to Kunark, I forgive you. But I'm sorry to say that all kunark skeletons can take their heads off, esp. when they aren't doing anything else.

Maybe I got lucky or something, but with a 3rd lvl shaman without any twinking armor or weapons (using only the buffs I can place on myself), I have kill two of these (in separate encounters) with a loss of only 3 bubs of health. You should have no problem killing these things at 5th level.

You find militia skellies mostly wandering the edge of the forest & the desert in the newbie area. My 6th level monk was having no trouble with them. They drop charred bone shards, which are needed for the warrior pike quest.

I soloed two of them tonight with my level 5 shaman. One conned blue, one conned even. I had to heal myself a couple of times but I was never really in any danger.

These are undeads, and they are pretty tough, i was almost killed by one at lvl 6 and they con white to me, so be careful, 2 can easliy take a lvl 8.

heh i am a lvl 9 necro but was 7 at the time and i soloed 2 with no pet they posed realy no problem and they were both blue.
