Saw him

Seems to follow a very similar set of PHs as Quillmane, was hoping for the pegasus and came across Cracktusk instead. Probably left off hunters as it has no real loot, just quest stuff.

I admit I have not seen him in a while while hunting in the zone, not sure if he was removed or not. I am surprised he was not on hunter achievement list when I completed it. The entire time I was doing the achievement, I did not see him once. I have killed him a lot in the days of old though.
It is lame that he or Groi are not on hunter achievement, but the lame named Gnolls are.
If the devs went back and later added some stupid named in Unrest, which I had to return to re-complete that zone's hunter, this named should have been added to SK as well.

KOS Named elephant chased me all over with me knowing while doing Quillmane PH run...
Dropped him and got Gigantic Tusk...

I went afk and was singing my heal song at lev 21 to make breakfast and when I came back he had killed me lol. I was in KFC city up top just chilling. So his roaming range at least is near there. That is all.

Lets think now... the tusk... lets stop and think Here is 4 possibiltys..

1) It is part of some special quest.. Some quest that has never been done before. I'm guessing Qeynos would be the starting point since it is right near the Karana's. Or nexus.

2) Since it is a container and a finger slot, ever try putting it on your finger and using it like a backpack while its on your finger? (i have not tried this before and i may stand corrected.) It could be almost like an extra invintory space.

3) If it does have a quest, i would believe it would have something to do with other mobs. You would have to hail a mob somewhere in norrath.

Also, have you ever tried hailing named mobs all around in SK? Who knows, this quest may include Hailing Gnawfang or Grizzy. Ever try hailing an escaped gnoll? A putrid skeleton? (i saw one other posts that putrid skeletons have weird faction. one time nicely 1 hately, hail the the one that doesnt KoS to you?) Another named elefant anywhere on norrath? One of the high shaman's? Mroon? Broon? Proon? Droon? wandering treant?
Anyway im going to try hailing everything i see that isnt KoS in SK.

4) It has no purpose... it is just plain junk.. And "combine" is there just to fool you. Just something you either sell to a merchent or destroy. Try gnawfang's tooth (another rare mob in SK). It has no purpose as of now (I MAY stand corrected).

rogue i heard to combine a couple of reagents.
thats all the guy told me after i sold the container to him for 350pp (prolly coulda gotten a lot more). i bet it needs to be handed into someone after combining the items.

I have read the post's and see that most of them date back to the YEAR! 2000. It is really anyoying to know that you have no clue to what this tusk is for. I got one the weekend of the GM event 5/17/2002. I have looked High and low and come up with the same thing. PLEASE JUST ONE SIMPLE CLUE WILL DO!!!

Is it a container and a finger slot? if so has anyone tried putting rings in it and putting it on finger?

Has anyone tried putting ivory in this thing?

That crazy elephant tried to trample me today, so I had to put it down. I got the ring version of the Giant Cracked Tusk. It's 10 wt. finger slot, LOL. I don't know what it could be for, but you can sell it to a vender that likes you for about 10pp, the same as a mammoth tusk.

Watch, I'll end up selling it and a week later the quest will pop up...

hmm the size off the container is tiny so we are looking for somthing small to put in it for combine maybe gems words or anything
