When i was a lvl12 cleric, me and my group went to hunt goblin lookouts and minos at the Runnyeye zone. When we got there guess who was there to greet us. You guessed it. We gave it a shot but the highest lvl in the party of 6 was lvl 15. He opened a fresh can on all of us, luckily there were no casualitys.
3 days played time so far, and there have been other monks camping when I have been away. 5 full days and this guy hasn't popped. I urge all monks not to waste their time on this quest.
I was a level 18 monk passing through the gorge to get to Rivervale when this guy casted on me. He commenced to whooping my tail but I got my feign death off. Luckily a 18 wiz shouted "18 wiz lfg" and I asked him to help me polish him off. We did and I'm the owner of a nice humerous mace. ;) Now to get my friends to go to the other places and finish this bad boy off.
Luck does happen. 2 days prior to this act of luck I wandered into Pyzgin in Qhills and she dropped a glowing black stone. ;)
I totally disagree with you on that one. I have a level 35 monk. Yeah sure, this guy may have took me 8 hours to get him to spawn, but it was well worth it because the gloves are better than any I have even tried to get. Not only that, with silver looking bracers, the gloves make a good match. :)
This was such a nice way to introduce that class that didn't need equipment to the camping scene. Now whenever I run past the spawn area, there is almost always a monk there. Welcome to EverCamp
Be aware that the mace the gob drops is nearly useless except for the quest and that he spawns pretty rare. If you do happen to find and kill the little beastie, and aren't a monk, be a friend and offer the loot up to any in the area.
I logged around 168 hours into just getting this mob for the Treant Fist quest. Everyone needs to decide on their own if the gloves are worth it for them.
