Thanks. The +2 for Ring of Scale was the question as it sways from the pattern for the majority of the zone.

Last night I am at zone in Mistmoore and Some one yells train to zone. I am lvl 43 so i think to myself oh some newbs are training tha lower level familiars and I will lay the smack down and look like the big man. Well the mother of all trains come running up and I almost die before hitting the zone. This guy was in there and I was intrigued so I waited till I was up in life and mana and went back in. Lucky me everyone else had left except for Garton. So I preceded to kill him and got the Chestplate. This is my first good drop ever in the game :)

Garton is one of the most annoying spawns in the old world.He is a pain to kill due to the fact he is really around level 38, maybe a little lower. He has the old weird anti camp spawn code, where sometimes a PH won't spawn on time or if he is up long enough he will despawn himself.

When you say the tower you mean?? SAme place where that Sk spawns? in tha bath thingee or what , cuz i camped xicoti for ever for my Soulfire and that garton guy never popped in my total of 7 hours there

I was in Graveyard clearing everything. Pet ran off in walls. Few seconds later pet appeared and came Garton running towards me in Graveyard. Whacked the bish and out came the Glowing Pike from his *****

a few friends of mine where helping try for the crested helm last night when that garton dude spawned on the puller we killed him and bam we had the BP we where there about 4 or 5 hours be4 he spawned though and yes he spawns in the tower and was blue at 40 hope this helps

i just pulled him... i used invis.. while his mob up there wasn't undead.. got only him, killed him on steps .. dropped chestplate =P

I saw his him casting last night and thought hmm I wouldnt mind that BP but for me (33 sk) and a 35 cleric him plus all the ******* in the tower would be a bit hard. So I just went up to the tower from the ground and started jumping up and down.... trained him to zone cause they will cast on you if you get close enough then the cleric wrathed him till he was oom and i kept hitting him and used harm touch to end it... go to loot and hes got a god damned glowing iron pike pisses me off what a crappy weapon... ps 35 is way off cleric was 35 and Garton red

As that 35 cleric friend i would have to say this method works again tonight we trained tower to zone and killed Garton, but this time he happened to have the BP which my 33 sk friend quickly looted and we zoned the hell outta there, both Garton and Lansa's lvls have to be wrong because both of them conned red to me at 35.

We were doing a raid for the Shaman epic and my Fiancee' and I (shes a tank and I'm a cleric both 47) were just killing everything in the courtyard for kicks when I was grabbing a gargoyle he popped right on top of me. Got BP from him.

He used to spawn in the Mausoleum

Garton does indeed spawn in the Tower. My group and i sat up there for a couple hours about 3 weeks ago, and right before we were ready to call it a night he showed, and actually had the chestplate. Our warrior won the roll for it, very nice item. I forget what his PH is, but it is in the tower so since your killing everything in there anyhow (4 or 5 mobs spawn in tower top) you'll be killing his PH along the way.
I wish i'd known this site lacked a pic, i would have grabbed one.

Ogres of Doom camped the tower for most of one Thursday. No named mobs of any kind spawned in the tower. =(
It's possible that he spawns up there (i.e. that they didn't remove him from the game or anything) but he didn't show up for my camera that day. On the other hand, we got 5 Crested Spaulders off the Caitiff, who spawns close enough to invis & walk down there to bash'em. =)

Does GV have any PHs or is he just a random rare spawn? I've seen his name on track two times in my life, both times he didn't live long. I really would like that breastplate. Thanks.

Yes, I've been with my group in Mistimoore for 2 months, camped the tower for a week, got 3 pike and 3 Chest plates. He always spawns in the white circle drawn on the floor oppisite the stairs. He has a random place holder, usually a deathly, pillager, shadowed something. If he has a spear in his hand....sorry no Chest Plate. No spare then you got the chest plate. First 4 times we killed him we got the spear once. Pretty worthless i think. Spawn wish the tower like the jail and other rooms in Mistimoore is set in a series. You'll get a spawn of the living and spawns of the dead. Random which spawn, but there are 5 guys in the tower. If you take the tower and they are all living and the firt pop after waiting the spawn is undead, you WILL get 4 other undead pops. With the undead pops you have about a 50 50 chance GV will be in the undead spawn. Once the spawns broke the tower is easy. Expect the highest lvl spawns in the tower, usually 2 or 3 casters with a series. Although the Chest Plate is said to be rare. Personal experience tells me you have a good shot for either.
