Was in Perm the other day,mainly, for a frost totem. Killed honor guard 2 times before the patriarch dropped the totem (after a few hours, you can imagine my elation at seeing a totem graphic in it's off hand). Everything in Perm is on roughly a 20 min. timer... Honor Guards are sort of random, and the regular elites are their ph's.
If your camping stuff in Perm anyway,(My mage is often the only one in the zone) then I suggest branching out a bit between spawns and clearing the other ph's to named spawns in the zone. It gives you something to do, and You may just earn some extra cash. Couldn't hurt.;) Hehe, and if you can summon Glowing Backpacks, you can pocket a good deal of bronze, ringmail, fine steel, and bricks of ore for even greater profit and no encumberence at all by clearing the way of all hall trash, wherever you go) Happy Hunting)

Not true. If the person or group that was fighting the mob all die and then you engage the mob and finish off the last sliver of health you WILL get the exp. It seems that when you engage, and there is nothing else on the mobs hate list, whatever health it has is considered 100%.

I agree on that, was hunting in GD when down comes a 49 monk, who decides this 32 Pally needs a boost. he whacked em down to almost no HP then FDt. I moved in and hit the last hit killing the MOB and getting all the xp.

GOD, i was hunting in perma, level 19, fighting ice goblins with a parter, and all the sudden, i zone out, rest and zone back in, i zoned back in and was in the elite room, and he had the axe, he had just killed the party that was fighting him so i ran up and hit him and killed him, got exp and the loot, nice for a 19 shaman

not sure about spawn rate, but the 1h one is the common drop, drops it almost everytime, unless, of course, it has the 2h one.

how often do they spawn, and how rare is the drop of silvery axes?(1H ones)
