since in eq your skill goes up according to how much you do a thing, weapons like this with low delay and relativly low damage are great for rasing skill. This weapon is usable as a primary until the mid teens and then can be move to the off hand to rase your duel weild skill

Well, I was helping a few ppl track down a few mobs for the new quests in Misty Thicket, when some Dark Elf starting yelling at the ppl of RV. First mistake was to walk up to him to see what was going on, so after a few hundred HP's off me, I thought it was time to run ( dru's always have sow ) Long story short, medded back up, big crowd to see what going on. This GM really starts giving it to me, ( at lvl 34 he was yellow to me ) invised so no one could see him, even though he was attacking me ( GM thing i guess) ok now the short part, everyone was healing me, casting DS's on me, and after 10 min of being a scratching post, he died, LOOT 26pp and this AXE. ( boohoo ) The axe is nice, so my new lvl 1 halfling Rogue ( after 5 train points in 1hs) hits for 12 smackers....

As a paladin who has to carry two sets of weapons for 1H and 2H slashing, weight is an important factor. At 2.5 stones, this has got to be one of the lighter weapons available at this level. Add the low delay rate and this weapon becomes a decent 1H slash trainer.

It was the day before christmas and i was triing to be nice, so i gave away all me extra weapons to noobies(even though i would still be considered a noobie). I hope i made someones day good.

HEY i was level 5 on Trib server when i got this from some barb war in WFP we dueled for a little bit he wasnt trying and i was running around him and getting behind him alot so then we just got bored and gave me this since i seemed like a good dueler i guess

This is a good weapon. I got this for 20pp at lvl 12 and still had it at 31.
nice and fast, good for the lower levels.

Yeah I really get tired of reading these posts from people who obviously haven't been playing the game very long. This was a good weapon back when Kunark hadn't even come out. People would use this into their 30's as a good off hand weapon. It's still good in my opinon. Everyone has such a distorted veiw of things now that everyone is running around with haste gear and 18 delay weapons. I say to all of you... use the Langseax proudly!! I still have one somewhere =D

I have one of these in my off hand. I like it. It's nothing special but it replaced my crystal fiber well. I am a rogue with a slime coated harpoon (no, not a twinkie, in the right place at the right time with a high lvl nice person, got it for 300pp) in my primary. This weapon works my 1hs skill and duel wield AND deals out a good amount of bonus damage. No, I wouldn't depend on this for great damage, just fill in that secondary.

As a warrior, I can use the Langseax that is 6 dam and 23 delay for less than 20 pp. I was able to purchase a Langseax at a much lower level than I could ever dream of purchasing this thing and the Langseax is not a lore item (so you can have tow) and they can be used in either hand. Dual Langseax's, and I kick butt with them too. Good weapon for the Ranger, Paladin, SK, Bard and Rogue but as a warrior, go wit the Langseax and save your Plat for armor.

Tow in the laguage of fat finger is two. I should know I use fat finger quite often. (only took three tries to get this right, I hope)

Yeah, this is only a hair better than a Langseax. I'm hanging onto my Langseax, though, for dual wield...if I don't find a good 1hb to use also. (Langseax and Silvery War Axe...call me Titus of Gaul, anyone?)
Of course, mine was 50pp, not 117, so I might be biased by the relative cheapness. It's definitely not worth 100 plat.

You don't have to be dual-wielding in order to put this in your off-hand slot. Please, people, be specific.
This weapon can go in either main-hand or off-hand. Nothing needs to be placed in the main-hand in order for this to go in your off-hand.
The "dual-wield" conversation is relegated to, "yes, this weapon only swings upon a successful check of your dual-wield skill"... but that goes for all off-hand weapons.

Moron, yes you DO need dual wield, as if you try to put a weapon in offhand w/o dual wield, it wont go in. Otherwise you'd see more paladins and shadowknights running around with two weapons! Get your facts straight.
