If you're grouped with a Bard who plays an AE song (Chords of Dissonance?) within range of the slaves, they will attack. Basically, your Bard attacked them first.
There are also Mage pets - I forget which - which cast an AE spell.

They need to fix this.. why would a slave cast heal on a slaver when I'm trying to get it's damn key to free it? It's even worse when they decide to attack. I'm a half-elf who was grouped with a wood-elf lady this morning.. we were running around killing slavers, and one of the elven slaves suddenly attacks the girl I was grouped with, saying "wood-elves like you make me sick" or something. They must not be locked up very well either since the slave followed us all over CB, and then all the way to the zone... constantly missing as she tried to hit us. It was kind of funny having a lvl 3 slave following us everywhere, but it's some of the worst programming in the game as far as I've seen so far. I don't know why they need keys when they can run anywhere they want anyways.

Each of them have key numbers, the orc slavers have keys and each one has a number give the elves a copper and they giv the nummber

Hope it helps so you might want to kill some orcs I could kill an orc at lvl one it was just that I had a weapon he didn't and I had great agility being a wood elf ranger which definitely helped

I killed close to 100 woodelf babes on sister island in the ocean of tears and every time I did, it said that I got faction with the CB orcs - great!
Apparently these boys are as hard to impress as the Freeport pukes - they still wanted to attack me and the only thing that kept me from being swarmed was I'm a 17th level troll SK, so only the occasional blue legionair attacked me.
Here's hoping I'm gaining more faction than I'm losing since I've killed the trainer a few times trying to get his shield.

I was a level 11 mage with a lvl 11 bard. We were campin the cabin and mines for the slavers. Get thekeys, free the slaves. We quickly finished off the first spawn of slavers, when one appeared in the mines next to the slaves. We promtly started killing it. As we killed the slavers, the elvin slaves started to cst healing spells on the slavers, healing him. In addition to that, the other slaves came and started to attack us. IN order not to lose massive faction for killin all of the slaves, we ran. We later talked to a GM about the funny behavior. She explained that the slaves will help the slavers if the fight is close to them. She went to say "if they did not, then the slaves would be treated worse if the slavers won" So dont fight near the slaves.

I come into the slave pit for the first time and see elven slaves. As much as this pulls at my heart strings, the first thing a magic casting slave does is attack my pet! As a level 8 Magi I had to submit to the humilation of running from a slave that I could've wooped up on just to avoid faction hits... All I know is, if I ever find your key, buddy, I'm going to throw it into a fire after I stuff it into a large skunk corpse.

I'm a DE Enchanter who bakes and I was wondering if the slaves drop any type of meat? If so then as a DE will I be KoS in crushbone?

The slaves would drop meat that corresponds with their race so wood elves drop wood elf parts and dwarves dwarf meat and so on.

I have a need to be able to do a single quest with the Indigo Brotherhood, once only, for a No Drop item.
I feel sorry for these poor elves. They must be permanently damaged from their experiences and the only merciful thing to do is to kill them and put them out of their misery. And who knows what brainwashing they've been subjected to by the orcs of Crushbone? They may have been converted and are merely waiting to be sent back to their former homes to spy, sabotage and kill the other elves!

Yeah, the entire outpost is on Venril Sathir Faction. Does seem odd that the guards there would claim affiliation to IB. Has anyone checked faction hits from killing outpost goons to see if they take a hit with the Indigos?

The slaves in Clan Crushbone are not there for their loot, except on rare occasions when one needs Dwarven or Elven Blood for quests. The slaves are there to be freed. One needs to slay the Orc slavers and loot the LORE shackle keys on them. Key 16 is needed for male Dwarves, key 17 for female Dwarves, 18 for male Wood Elves, 19 for female Wood Elves, 20 for male High Elves, 21 for female High Elves, and 15 for Relton Brenclog.
Faction changes are :

Kazon Stormhammer gets better
Stormguard gets better
Miners Guild 628 (Paladins) gets better
Kaladim Merchants gets better.
-For Wood Elves

Well Ive been there and killed some of the elven slaves with my Dark Elf Warrior and theres a difference between the wood elven and the high elven slaves, the wood elven give the faction adjustments as listed above, but the high elven give other faction:

Those slaves have mental issues. Why would they heal the ones who enslaved them? What is their problem. Maybe they're forced but still.I gonna try to bust some of them out with keys.Hope they'll reconsider healing Orcs.
