Holly is suppose to be very strong I didnt know you could kill her at that level I thought she was 70 lol

Somewhat odd thing happened while I was wandering my old stomping grounds. Came across Tovax and his little *****, freshly killed noob on the ground. Been there before, so i blasted him and his pet. Click Track to look for brown bears for HQ pelts, and I see an Erudite and an Erudite pet. Was about 2 weeks ago, so it might have been erudite traveler, not sure. BOTH conned blue to a 22, so I didn't bother, and it was late anyway. Any idea if tovax could be a PH or was it a fluke or what?

Loathsome individuals aren't in the Qeynos area anymore from my understanding.

Correct. I petitioned a GM recently about this and his response was that Antonius Bayle and the Guards of Qeynos managed to do away with the loathesome individuals once and for all. Which is role play talk for they removed the spawn points. The rumor I heard was that the loathesomes were all around lvl 15, and all the newbies who were starting to branch out from North Qeynos at level 5, were all being wiped out by the loathesomes and they got a lot of complaints that they were too high level for the zone they were in. Why they removed them entirely instead of merely lowering them to like level 7 or 8 is beyond me, though.

Given that it's likely he's an SK, and that he's generally considered Loathsome, could he be the one that drops the Befouled Longsword? It's a listed weapon here dropped in Queynos Hills, it's listed at level 10 diffuctly (Tovax level), and dropped from a 'loathsome individual', but no creature is listed...

Loathsome indviduals used to spawn at the huts on either side of the Qeynos wall and in front of Blackburrow. However, they were removed from the zone a long time ago, before I began playing.

i have had some bad run-ins with tovax, mostly around levels 3-7 (before my ranger got spells). his fear spell is evil, and i was RIGHT next the the qeynos zone so i had a slim chance to zone but i got feared. this guy isn't too hard, as long as you have spells (and you see him first).

when i hit lvl 8 i tried my new spell called flame bolt i took tovax down for 2 hits then it took 2 on his pet

Tovax is on my ********* I take the opportunity to kill him whenever I am in the neighborhood.
I always caught him close to the guard tower. Where exactly does he spawn?

EVERY lower level pet is a con blue-yellow to a level 8 and 12 necro... Unless your using the level 1 pet spell. Only higher level necros get pets that are a much lower level then them. =P

I really don't think that Tovax is a necro, necro pets are never 3 levels under that of its master.I think he's a SK.if he was a necro and he gets a new pet at 8, why is the pet itself at lv. 7?

I would guess he ran out of Bone chips & couldn't recast :o) after all a level 8 spell brings a lvl 7-9 pet

he didnt fear me once im a lvl 10 shaman he killed me when i was 8 but ikilled him fast when i was 10

when i was around lvl 7 i was killed by tovax while i was sitting then when i was lvl 10 me and my pet got easily

Aren't the fractions for this guys reversed? Shouldn't the opposing factions be Priests of Life and Guards of Qeynos?

i tried to kill this guy several times, but he kept fearing me and I kept loosing him. Saw him again now at lvl 30 and blasted him with my frost strike!! Poor ******* died in one blast!! LOL revenge is sweet

When I ran into him, I was a lvl 12 wizzie. I was grouped with a lvl 12 enchanter at the time. The enchanter was hit with fear and ran away after getting off choke and nothing else. I rooted the pet, nuked Tovax a few times with shock of lightning, and he went down. Hit the pet with lightning a few times and finished him off in melee. Very easy, didn't take much damage at all. As long as he cons blue and you can root, you should be fine.

He's a piece of cake. Just walk up, beat the crap out of him and blast a little and he's toast. Hits with a couple spells, but not all that bad.

He's pretty easy and level 10, he was green to me at level 16, and i'm a druid and I easily tanked him and his pet without dmg shield or any buffs, only SoW

Tovax spawns around 10PM at night (game time), He is supposedly the place holder for Pizjn(Rare Drop: Glowing Black Stone), I know when i killed him pizjn spawned almost every night(game night), before i knew that she only spawned like once every 3 real life days for me. Someone told me Tovax and some other NPC are both her place holders but i forgot the others name and i never killed the other one anyways.

Tovax, Varsoon and Rephas all drop bat rings which you can turn into a guy in the saucer in N Qeynos for xp. Havent tried it though

Tovax doesn't drop a Rat-shaped ring, he drops a rusty dagger and some minor coins. Not worth the effort to kill him for -- wait till he completes his circle back to the ruins and drops the note. You get more xp for turning it in.

point 1 it's rat rings and you don't give them to a guy in the saucer but to the female near the center of the saucer

All you need is a warrior to attack Tovax head on and then have a cleric kick but on his wimpy pet. After the pet is dead the cleric can help out the warrior with heals and such. He doesn't drop anything of value but gives ok experience and faction
