I went back to my old stomping grounds oasis the other day, and just out of curiousity cond one of these... im a lvl 30 wiz and one cond BLUE to me and gave me some exp! is it not true that if it cons dark blue then it is like 5 or so lvls below you? wouldnt that be lvl 25? well it was a rare occurance and all the rest ive seen to this day are greenies

I am a lvl 15 shaman, and my nuke takes 20%m and does 75 dmg. Could i kite by casting SOW on myself, and then kite with spirit strike?

I have partnered with an orge BST and we creamed 'em, but im not sure if i can solo.

Actually, they can't because if it is yellow then it is either 1 or 2 lvls above u and if this was yellow it was most likely lvl 15

um well the description kinda tells you all i gotta say, i was with my lvl 13 bard and killed a yellow deepwater caiman, oh and no i wasn't tweaked, i was kiteing it, anyways thought i'd tell yall that.

I am not sure about the upper level on these things... I am L17 Paladin and some of these are con'ing red to me.... And I am certain that I am con'ing these and not something else.

I'm a 17 sk and i though i should share how to solo these caimen

1st you make a pet and tell your pet to attack it
2nd cast clinging darkness and fear on the DW caimen
3rd go kill it

If spells wear of castem again or just keep attacking

I solo these things on my Level 15 Warrior (I watch out for the few ones that con yellow or red to me though) and I get good exp from them when I just can't seem to find a group. I solo all of the caimans and crocs except for the Deepwater Crocodiles if they are too strong for me. Sometimes I get lucky and get a heal from a friendly Cleric at the docks.

I agree, pop a pet if you are a caster, though. I gained 16 off the with my chanter. Though I prefer languid pace, weakness, Then nuke. The best is if you can get a tank, SK, or Cleric as a partner. I pull, my pet attacks, as does the partner, then I Nuke, Or meditate. Once I've buffed the pet, & partner the beast is toast. If your partner is pulling you need tonuke, then close to get hit so your pet can be of use. Fare well, where ever thee fare.

Deepwater Caimans also drop the rune of scale. I have confirmed this. And there are three different runes of scale that are drop. The other two drops can be found in Upper Guk and Lavastorm.

I have had great success rooting caiman and nuking to death. If they dont resist root, you can almost always kill before it breaks. When they resist, they hit pretty good, but they are still pretty easy to time spells and nuke anyway. When rooted I used Shock of Flame, when not, drop down to Shock of Lightning. I have not died yet soloing these and I am 16 (started at 15).

These are great for soloing if u r a lvl 16-19 tank. Solo a bunch of any type of caiman/croc and then when u r low on hp go to the docks. U will almost always get a heal for free without asking... but if u ask... u r sure to get one.. then go hunting again!

Meat seems to be the primary drop. Though they also drop various runes (inluding the Rune of Scale which is no drop in itself) as well as various words. Runes are for Wizard research and words are for Necro and Mage research. (In 4 hours of hunting these things I got about 4 drops of runes and 4 of words.)
