I have earned aprox 200 aa camping elder dire wolves near Vald entrance area. They do NOT summon, nor do they have any special ability. They parse between 72000-80000 HP.
A named wolf does spawn here, which summons along with it's two companion companions that share the name of "elder dire wolf" but they are unique to the named mob; stay with the named mob; despawn with the named mobs death; only spawn when the named mob spawns. Similar with the other named in the zone - they are accompanied by two guard-type pets/mobs that do summon.

that may be only a few that summon, i havent encountered any that summon yet, and i was working on this solo last night, so idk, i think i killed 2 roamers, no summon,s, not saying they dont summonl i just dont know lol

Maybe you're right. I think I tried to kill a dire wolf pup (not elder) and it summoned on me, and I just assumed elders would summon too. Good to know they don't summon though.

These summon, though they're not named. One of the few mobs that does in this zone, I think.
