Alex Hutchison reportedly has over 60 PHs in the main area of Dreadspire (in the lobby, bedrooms, ballroom, dining area, and the hallways in between those areas).
Confirmed spawn locations (don't limit yourself to these though):
- 2535, -60, 98 (to your east upon porting into the lobby area)
- 2840, -25, 99 (south wall of the ballroom)
- 3245, 103, 100
Hits for a max ~1,700 (quads).

camped tonight, 2 clears of that hallway area between the dining room and the ballroom and i got him to spawn... sword of course, but at least he showed up!

He can pop in the dining room itself. I got him there when he was holding his sword.

So for the past 4-5 nights I have been camping this guy, between the Ballroom and Dining room. He has spawned 1 time....... not sure how many times I cleared the whole circle, probably 40 times or more, only 1 spawn, did they nurf this guy or what?

Yeah, so I have spent about the past 8-10 nights there, after work, and in the mornings. Only 3 spawns, F all that. I petitioned, not sure why, maybe b/c sony is stupid and they need to share.
Well, ocne upon a time, I think it was Rashere that posted it, but someone official had said Alex had around 60 ph's.
I would assume they based the rarity of his spawn on the fact that he can appear in so many spots.

Saw him up at loc POS 2840, neg27, pos99. Didn't fight to spawn him or anything he was just up when I zoned in.

Just earned my DK key so i thought i would do a little recon. Found alot of non kos mobs including the ballroom dancers.
So accordng to these posts, these are some of the mobs one would have to clear in hopes of spawning Alex ? ?

Here is all the info I have on this guy and yes it is a hardcore camp like Kelefane stated. I spent everyday there this week after raids usually for 3 to 6 hours and on my 2 offdays spend 12+ hours there. I always camp the loop between the ball room and dining room.
Day 1 : 4 hours never spawned
Day 2 : 4 hours never spawned
Day 3 : 6 hours spawned 1x dropped Blackened Officer's Sabre
Day 4 : 6 hours never spawned
Day 5 : 3.5 hours spawned 1x dropped Blackened Officer's Sabre
Day 6 : 16 hours spawned 14x (11 with sword 3 w/o) dropped Blackened Officer's Sabre x 11 and Stonewarden x 2, and Sunsweep, Vampire Slayer x 1.
Day 7 : 13 hours spawned 12x (10 with sword 2 w/o) dropped Blackened Officer's Sabre x 10, Stonewarden x 1, and Sunsweep, Vampire Slayer x 1.
The first 5 days I had 1 group just killing all the mobs around the loop. Day 6 and 7 i had a full group and also had a bot group for added dps and had a guildie make a group around the loop before ballroom with a bot group also. We killed both loops and cleared most if not all the ballroom b4 we had repops. I had 31 peeps in zone working on this and we finally got a better spawn rate killing more phs. Unfortunately he is a rare spawn and when he does pop it seems you have a 1 out of 5 chance to get him to spawn w/o the sword or 20%. On top of that if you do get him to spawn w/o the sword you then have a 1 out of 2 or 50% chance he will drop the aug. I was lucky and had a guildie warrior bring his bot crew and others brought some to get them aas while we killed for hrs. And not to mention I prolly spent another 20+ hrs before i even recorded this week with 1 or 2 spawns both with swords.
Its a long and tiring camp. Unfortunately I raid 5x a week so I spend my 2 off days pretty much there all day. Hope this helps and Good Luck he is a pita to get to spawn w/o the sword and the more help you can get the better it is if you can.

If he is holding a 1her (The sabre that isnt listed under his loot table atm) then he will drop the Blackened Officer's Sabre (1her) - if hes not holding the Sabre then he will either drop the Stonewarden aug or the 2her (Sunsweep, Vampire Slayer)
FYI -- Alex has over 60+ PH's all across Dreadspire and the more statics that you kill the more often he'll spawn....I always camp the loop between the Ballroom Dancers room and the Dining room....IMO however -- His spawnrate needs to be upped a tad more due to him being ULTRA rare and anyone coming to camp him for the Stonewarden aug (Tanks usually) will be in for a rude awakening due to his rareness and then him spawning and not having the aug to top it off. He is a rare spawn indeed and getting a full set of these augs would probably take you 100+ hours and thats being generous.
Overall -- Its honestly not worth the time and effort to camp these augs IMO. Your gonna die alot due to this camp being rough and on top of him being rare and then turning around and the aug being his rare drop as well just tops it off as a "When your bored come do it" type of camp. But its hard dragging a group there to even do him in the first place. Its not a camp your gonna come too for 2 hours casually hoping for a couple of augs....Your gonna need to buckle down and get comfy and expect to be there for 5+ hours to even hope he'll spawn. This camp is for the hardcore campers.

Pretty much any static spawn that is a WW, Vampire and Norrathian from the lobby after clicking in from the door, to the dinner hall, is a PH for this guy. I recall Prathun stating he had around 63 PHes. Crazy but true :)
