Dreadspire Keep can be a pretty hairy place but this is one camp that is easy, has good spawn rates on nameds, can drop decent loot, drops glowing runes, and also can drop formal dinner invitations.
The Sleepy and Exhausted both can spawn from any of the "a guest of dreadspire" locations. These locations can spawn three different types of placeholders and the two named mobs:
Placeholders: a rat -- green con -- less than 35 hit points -- 1 swing and it dies a guest of dreadspire -- blue con to level 70 -- very easy mob a shadowmane representative -- yellow con to level 70 -- pretty standard difficulty for a dodh yellow con mob. Procs a stun spell.
The two named mobs are Sleepy Guest and Exhausted Guest. They have different loot tables and different models but otherwise have no significant differences. Both hit decently hard and decently fast. Both mitigate slow to "slightly effective." No AEs or procs. They have a ton of hitpoints. Took me about 5 minutes to kill one six-boxing with war/bard/ench/wiz/cler/dru. With just cleric and druid buffs, the tank was at about 13,500 hp, 2550 ac, 10% shielding, max defe aa . With stonewall disc running the cleric would just chain complete-heal. When disc wore off tank switched to sword and board and complete-heals were almost enough, but the druid patched a bit to help out.
Repop here is under two minutes. Nothing is KoS in the guest rooms (but bewared the area past the secret doors). Everything is social and has a pretty decent sized aggro radius so watch out for roamers and potential adds. Nameds spawn randomly. Have seen 2 back-to-back, 3 only a spawn or two apart from each other, or three hours without any nameds. Glowing runes drop rate is totally random. Have seen 7 in one day here of casual off-and-on camping while doing housework but have also gone a whole day without a single glowing (of course this happened when our team only needed 1 more glowing to be done with the camp). The shield and the range slot item are common drops from the nameds. The augments are rare drops.
Formal Dinner Invitations also drop in this camp off of the named mobs and also off of "a guest of dreadspire." By far the easiest place I know of to get them. They are semi-rare but common enough that we got 4 in two hours of camping one night.
Now, there are a couple dozen places where these can spawn but since the repop is so ridiculously fast (less than two minutes, remember) and everything here is VERY social, you want to find one of the two rooms that only have one spawn spot in them and no roamers (try the left hall of guest rooms when you enter the keep).
Notice the roamers in the hallways outside the rooms. They will definitely add if you do not fight tight up against the opposite wall. Use any mechanism of significant push and corner-pin the mob on engage. If you fight it where it spawns, the roamers from the halls will add. The rest of your team also needs to stay along that far wall.
Only had one mob run once when I was in a high dps group and not boxing. If your group is high dps, then snare might be needed. Otherwise I never had anything run.
That should be all you need to know. Good luck and happy hunting. We've had more than our fill of this camp and filled out all of our team's glowing runes in the process. Also acquired formal dinner invites and a few drops for a few friends. We hope you find it equally rewarding.
Sleepy Guest is located upon clicking into the Castle..
Up left ramp, and into the hall with all the room, Room straight up at the very end, has 2 mobs in there, believe it is 2 Dreadspire Guests, Sleepy Guest pops in there.
have also had her spawn in second room on the right in the same wing. about a 2 minute ph repop. can be a guest, greenie rat, wolf, sleepy, and perhaps more.
