Also, Basher Nkekta will kill these on sight but seemingly nothing else, therefore there's usually only a couple up.

Did damp quest with an 11 mage. The bull alligator is easy to kill but it was so hard to find and the Gator meat is a rare drop! After 4 kills and one hour worth of hunting, pulled out my 80 Bard. With Track and killing everything in the zone, it still took an additional one hour to finally have my mage loot Gator meat for the 2nd time. Imagine doing this with no track at level 11. Damp quest is not worth doing!

Do these things spawn all day or only at certain times? Does killing skeletons help them appear?

You don't need "Chunk of Meat" for Damp Paws. You need "Gator Meat". The first bull I killed dropped one. The remaining eight that I killed before I got bored of looking for them/avoiding Bashers dropped "Chunk of Meat" which doesn't advance the quest...

Track helps, there are enough bull alligators around Stragak, and they drop chunk of meat. Killing the common swamp alligators help, the seem to be PH's.

The Damp Paws quest is a waste of time. It's difficult enough just trying to find bull alligators but they do indeed drop "chunk of meat", I had gotten only one off of one of them. I managed to only find 5 bull alligators in two hours and even checked around the undead tower like someone mentioned. Bull alligators are just rare no matter where you go looking for them. I aborted the quest since it was just a waste of time and I could have been earning XP in that time instead.

I have been working on this one with my Monk since she was level 16. She is level 24 now, and there hasn't been a trace of "a chunk of meat". I wish I could hand those blasted bull alligators some meat, then kill it and loot it back. Hehe...

I'm gonna do that report a bug thing, and hopefully get some results. Me and a friend were trying to do this quest and were getting no love from the Bull's. She logged in as her level 60 druid and we flew around the swamp tracking down all the bulls we could find. They dropped gator meat a couple of times, but did't drop chunks of gator meat once. It's definitely a bug.

been killing bulls for couple days now finally got fustrated enought o look it up. i have gotten all listed drops form them, but to my great dissappointment no "chunk of meat". sony needs to look into this because everyone i talk to ingame says the same thing about the damp paws quest if they cahnged it t hey need to fix something to make the quest completeable. very upset to see it not listed on known loot. died several times spending hour after hour each day trying. i am now aborting this quest. this is some Major Bull!!!

Read the post near the bottom of the page about them being around the undead tower.
Sure enough within less than 10 minutes killed 3 an aligators 1 fat alligator and 1 bull alligator. took 10 minutes instead of 4 or 5 hours lookin all over the rest of the swamp.

Been after bull allegators for 2 days, got 1 meat off one mob, and thats it so far

been hunting them for two days killed 33 and one dropped a meat, three dropped a tooth, the rest dropped nothing, there is no way to complete damp paws now :(

Yes some Bull Alligators still drop meat. I got 1 and then they got scarse

I cant find the meat on them either. Comes easily off the other alligators in the zone, and you can turn them in for the newb armor quest. You still have that objective of looting the meat off of bull alligators

Ok spent a couple hours killed only 4-5 gators, and now meat dropped. Can anyone tell me if they still drop or what? Need it for a noob quest so i would assume they would drop at least relativally frequently as i've died twice beause I've spent so much time in that swamp, stinkin' trolls.

guess no one reads this posting anymore. Oh well I guess I'll figure it out.
Spent about 3 hours searching for and killing these. Found and killed 4, got one meat chunk and one gator meat to drop.

Here's the question. I was trying to do the "bullying the aligators" task. It said to kill ten of these suckers and then take 4 of their teeth. No teeth dropped after like 25 of them. And now I see that the teeth are not listed as loot. Anyone else happen to have run across this?

I spent ages trying to get drops for Frog newb armor lvls 6-15
There was a patch yesterday and today I got all the drops I needed bar 1 in about an hour.
So wait until next patch and then go loot up.
Lol probably by then you are lvl 20+ and dont even want the newb armour. :)

OKay.. what is the deal with the Bull alligator spines? I cannot even find information regarding them let alone find them on the Bull gators. I have picked up two pristine bull alligator hides and tried them instead on my shaman newbie Breastplate armor quest and nada. they want the spines. I have never even seen a spine. does anyone at least have a picture of one so I know that they arent a figment of the quests imagination?

I've been trying for almost a week now. I've killed over 100 Bull Alligators (and recently added An Alligators to my list - only at around 20 for them.) I have yet to see it drop :( I've found 2 Pristine Alligator Hides, but those don't work. I haven't yet had An Alligator Hide (mentioned in a previous post,) drop, but I've seen them on vendors. Do those work?
There are now a lot of "an alligator" mobs in the zone, particularly around the upper guk zone area.
There are also a lot of new Bull Alligator types in the newbie area and they are of very low level.
The alligators have a rare drop "an alligator hide" which has the same icon as several of the stat foods. I dont think this is the same thing as "an alligator skin" but I'll give it a try anyway just to see if it works.

i've counted every kill, and am over 100 now for bull alligators, and not one skin. do they even drop anymore?

Yes they still drop hunt betweenisland south of tower and stone hand i have also found that killing the swamp alligators helps the bulls to spawn and killing the bulls helps the fat to spawn got my skin yesterday after about 24 kills bah now i just need one for my new druid :crys

me and two friends were huting these bull's for 3 hours with track and only found two. then this big *** troll comes up and kills me and my friends for no reason. these bulls should just be a higher lvl and spawn more cause it sucks to die at 24th lvl hunting a 8th lvl mob
