There is a safe spot on the east wall at around +500, -1400 to which you can pull nearby discordlings and girplans.
Some points to note:
Discordling Warfiend wanders the area. The camp spot is safe, but be careful when pulling.
The girplans in the area have around a 10 minute respawn. Discordling around 20.
One of the discordlings SW of camp is the placeholder for the Chaosfiend. Either he is rare, or we've been unlucky as he only spawned once in about 8 hours. Haven't found the exact spot for the Bloodfiend yet.
The ruins to the west are where Durunal the Cursebearer spawns when a pally at the right point in the quest zones in. When he spawns most of the mobs in those ruins disappear. He stays up a while and then despawns. The other mobs repop an hour or two later (caught me by surprise the first time). He seems to be tethered though, so even though I aggroed him once he didn't actually touch me.
In the eight hour period we saw one Black Chaos Boots, one Discordling Finger Bone, one Muramite Ritual Scroll and three Discordling Message Satchels (which is the main reason we were there).
