I did it cheesy by letting him use his HT on me then running back to High Keep to zone and break aggro. Healed myself up from his HT then went back to take him on while it was still down. It was still a really tough fight, though. He frequently hits in the 40s and 50s with hits in the 20's and 30's being the most common. He'a a quick SOB who dodges and parrys a lot so you will have a hard time hitting him. Even with Temperance on my 29 Ranger, he nearly got me first before I could finish him off. Got no loot off him at all, just the xp which still wasn't bad for me. His pet is a chump. He uses the level 12 necro pet spell which conjures up a level 13 skel. He chain cast Siphon Strength on me, which is kind of stupid since it doesn't stack once you cast it successfully the first time. He isn't a very good SK if that's the only spell he has.

"You writhe in the grip of agony. You have taken 251 points damage". I didn't even make it back downstairs. I was just goofing off waiting for my Lay Hands to repop. At 565 self buffed, I did not last long. Be careful opening doors upstairs in the Golden rooster.

i am a ranger of the 25th season .... when i first met him i had the good fortune <thank Tunare> to get away with little less than half of my hp depleted .... i was curious how ever as to what cause a Tier`Dal to shack up in HHP one of the most caustic zones towards evil races. I had a friend Skin Like Nature me and with chloro and 24pt thorns i laid into him ... with a 253 pt harm touch he took me down to 3/4 hp ... i have with sln 1091 hp 564 ac ... he finished me off more quickly than i would have liked ... for that matter i did not expect to lose the fight with the buffs i had ... i managed to stand and fight him to a little less than half HP before he killed me ... equipped with a Centi LS and a Centi SS i was doing no small amount of damage. the thing that urked me was that this guy cons EVEN ... but chalk it up to the Tier`Dal npc's being bad ***** ... i have yet to see a DE in the game that wqas not an undercon ... Eichvul in everfrost is another prime example ... i would gauge both npc's at 29-31st level

This guy is amazing, I was camping gnolls in HPH to get a PGT for my pally, and I was looking for spawns and all of a sudden I get to the overpass where the guard stands and WAM he is right there in front of me. Conned blue at 26. He attacked me quickly, and I noticed his pet wasnt too low of a level he must be a necro not a SK. But he is a DEF necro hitting with fists in the 30s to 50s! This caster doesn't need spells.

Im am a level 15 DE Shadow. I had just stumbled upon this section while looking for quests I could do.. to get items and/or faction. So I figure none of the people he killed where DE I would go talk to him to see what he says!

I was in HH and I was bored so I start opening doors in da golden rooster when I open one door an this guy was behind it, I knew I was dead right then an there but started to run n e way, he snared me and smacked me down, lucky I was bound there and a SK helped drag my corpse out of there to keep.

I was an 18 barb war at the time. I saw him run up the hill where the gnolls spawn and start attackin my group. Killed 3 of them other 2 ran away while i was right behind him trying to figure out why he didn't attack me. I was right in his face after all my group was zoned and he still didn't touch me. I was drunk so i just started attacking him and he killed me in a few hits with his pet hehe oh well my group was as stunned as i was on why he didn't attack me. Any suggestions?
P.S. ( i think he knows better not to mess with barbarians :P)

I'm not sure if they upped his level or buffef him up or what, but today, as a well equipped 34 paladin, he took me from full health and mana to one bub of health, almost no mana, and that was using Lay Hands.

He conned blue to me, and gave over a half bub of blue exp, so I would have to guess he is closer to 28 to 30 (at least that particular spawn). Also, I went back less than 12 EQ hours later (was waiting for Marlin for the Silent Watch Shield quest) and he was there again.

He didn't seem to aggro through the door, only when I opened the door (he is upstairs in the Golden Rooster unless someone pulls him), and respawns quickly. His initial Harm Touch took me down a little over 2 bubs of health, so that's around 500 hp (I have 1196 hp and 740+ AC). So be warned, this guy may be higher than listed on this site, and would definitely be a hard kill for most people sub 30 if not impossible (even for druids, hard to kite when a MOB is casting on you over and over).

Most he hit for was like 55, and his pet was a real baby (killed it in about 6 hits, targeted it to root it to take it out of the equation before killing Cytodl, but whe I hit him once and took him down a lot in health, I just wiped him up real quick, which made it easier to cast stun). He also seemed to cast *a lot*. Well, that was my experience with him, hoped it was informative.

I was wondering around in HP when I saw a little inn. I walk in and con everyone. (BTW, i was a 24 paladin). I go up the last set of stairs and open the doors to see if someone was in there. All of a sudden, i get harm touched for 325 by this bad ***. I had to run out as fasta s I could. he punches for in 90's and based me for 11!!!! I had to get to the zone. The closest zone is East Karana. Try not to train the gnoll groups like I did =P

As a human paladin, I'm pretty much KOS to dark elf NPCs, and hunting in Crushbone for a good 10 levels didn't help...This monkey boy chased me out of high hold like 5 minutes after i got there the first time. I hate Dark Elves...(well the npcs at least)

I am a mag level 27. I solo him and killed him. He didn't drop anything except 9 silver coins. i meb and i wait till he will spawn back. i killed him again andnothing as drop except about 4 gold coins. The faction with The Dead got worse, QueenCristanosthex got worse, KingAythoxthex got better, KeeperOfTheArt got better and EldritchCollective got better. After i wait for the 3rd spawn and i see Cordelia Minster spawning at his place.
