Did a video recently showing the camp & getting the voice of the serpent. 16 min respawn but a rare drop. Took most of a day to get this item. https://youtu.be/-ZPV6pYa_fs

Ok here is what works as others have said:

1. make your way down to the basement avoiding the see invis roamer at the bottom head to the north east corner by the locked door.
2. cast levitate on yourself, no shrink needed
3. work your way up the wall where I marked on the map and levitate to the top of the door frame
4. duck, look down, and squeeze thru the crack in the wall above the door
5. make your way up the stairs and to the right and the building with the mobs
6. pull or kill the couple snakes and the PH or the Disciple until he drops your Voice Serpent

SoF Pick Lock
# Dec 08 2007 at 7:02 PM Rating: Decent
SoF brought increases to bard Lock Pick, and I was able to pick the door at 296 unmodded with no problem.

Hopefully this won't be as bad as the halfling mask
Got in no lock pick needed

Go to basement, come out of tube & go to the left up the ramp to the door (looks like a grey stone). Levitate. Climb one of the angled walls, drop onto the door, DUCK, move in the hole. Have fun.

Was doing this today and found it from directions listed but could be confusing since alot of us playing now never raided in these zones.

The Loc for PH/named is 134.20 -248.26 -192.69

mez/melee not working
# Dec 20 2004 at 4:49 AM Rating: Default
usually a 68th Bard with not too bad gear could solo Disciple Yelwinz's and his PHs. strangely enough i face the problem, that Arch Tormentor Zhesz, who is in a room just below this room, is healing Disciple Yelwinz and his PHs during the mez/melee-regeneration phase!!! so i can not smack down any of the mobs there!
has someone had a similar problem here? what to do to solve that? kill Arch Tormentor Zhesz??

i know its an older post, but i was running into the same problem. found that if you pull him out of the rooms (just open door and cast in there staying as far as way from others as you can can single him, at least he was only one coming at 70, even with cursed trigger up in there) he comes single, if not single just mez and fade, after i started doing that had no problems with ATZ or any adds
One kill, one VotS drop

Got mine on the first kill. From reading around here, it seems I got lucky. I dotted him to death. He got one CH in.

I heard on the concert hall people have said he drops Voice of the serpent uncommonly... but not rarely. What a load. 7 kills, 7 belts. I would say Voice of the Serpent falls into the "rare-drop" category.
Getting to him...

Getting to him is pretty simple. You don't need lev, you don't need to play tricks with the tube, you don't need to try and get summoned through any doors.

Just invis to the basement, turn left outta the tube exit, run across the length of the room to the small ramp on the left side of the building (you can easily avoid the roaming TM by waiting until he walks through the doorway to the side area), up the ramp and to the left to the locked door, open the locked door (hint: bring your SS helm), walk up that ramp, lull your way past the 3 see invis snakes, and bada bing bada boom, you're in.

Oh, and phs easily solo melee'd by a 65 bard with full defensive aas. I never went below 70% health and only did that because I was too lazy to interrupt more casting.

Rhozth spawned on me after only 1 ph cycle, so I'll have to go back another day.

Can you elaborate please? i tried opening the door with my eye...nada, also tried casting to where the eye went through and was on the other side....couldnt open the door....am i missing something?

i guess the old lev tube trick isnt working. back when i got my vots i had no prob, but when i went to help a friend it wasnt letting me climb....so any way other than getting a rogue to pick that lock would help alot.

EDIT: well, heres the answer to future bards. (http://www.eqdiva.com/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=60097)

Soloable?

Just looking to get this for my baby bard and wondered if a 65 Beastlord in elemental gear would have a problem soloing it? I see there is a rogue door to get past so I could bring a rogue friend to help.

Doesn't look too hard, just curious for ideas.

Is just in basement, no rogue door required. There are adds near him, need to pacify or kill adds. Easily soloable with some dps. You can invis to near him.
Easy
# Jan 19 2004 at 4:13 AM Rating: Decent
Easiest mob ever considering the nice little bard trinket it drops.

Type: Cleric
HP: Approx 15k
Melee: Lower 200s
Slowable: Yes (by a 53 bard mind ya!)
Stunnable: Yes

Location: Basement, room that the 7 day spawn Rhzoth pops in for the cursed cycle.

Easily single pulled outside of the building to the ramp, could be easily owned by a 65 warrior and a 39 cleric...if you catch my drift! Smiley: wink

The conventional method of reaching him is to bring a ROG to open the door for you.
But Bards often use unconventional methods...
Bards do not have Lockpicking skills high enough to open the door ourselves.

I have not been there yet, but I will offer an "unconventional" method to pulling mobs behind locked doors.

-Find a mob you can charm but dont aggro just yet (unless you have to).
-Walk up to the door
-Use the Eye of Zomm from a Singing Steel Helm as you are right up against the door.
-The eye will pop through the door, use it to target said mob.
-Go back and charm the mob you wish to use.
-Use the "Toggle Last 2 Targets" button to select the mob you wish to pull.
-Send your pet after it.
-Your pet can go through any door for its target, so it will aggro your mob of choice.
-Drop charm or let your mob of choice 0wn your pet.
-Mob of choice will come running through the locked door.
=)

I thought that one up as I was trying to get to a mob behind a locked door in KC, however I dont claim to be the first to ever use it as "Necessity is the Mother of All Invention".
