I saw this pig little thing, and it was in the place of one of my regular prey. Me a troll shamam dat be soloing here since 57.... and I me was about to ding to 59... and theres that pig thing. So me conned it and it was white. So I look at pet and ask.."whatchu wanna do?" me pet look up and said "little pig, little pig... let me in." So I slowed to pull maliso'ed it, bane of nife, plague, and a couple of ice strikes. looked up and he down to 35% health.... looked at my health... 22%... CRAP!!!... autoattack off self target.. Kragg's mending... safe ... drained mana bar ALL the way by the time I won fight and health back down to 18% but I drop little pig.... DAMN that enraged thing! no more white cons!!
The exhausted bloodtusk makes for a great druid pet (with level 62 druid charm spell). He hits for 189, and if you throw a couple of axes on him from the trolls, he can even quad. It looks a little funny for a pig to be carrying a couple of swords, but his damage output is phenomenal when that happens. Not to mention he has a lot of hps, so can sit and tank a couple of mobs at once. Bring along some mage pet toys. Throw some proc'ing weapons on him, haste him, DS, and you can go all the way to Hates Fury with him solo. His dps without any mage pet toys ranged from 190 to 270.
The loot on the way there is great; mobs drop up to 10pp, star rubies, rubies, and other assorted trinkets. Don't forget to snare everything. ;-)
This mob is much tougher than the trolls around it. Killed it 2-boxing with a 61 necromancer and a 56 cleric. Would have been no problem if I knew the enrage was coming, but almost killed my pet with mage gear and temp as I was caught off guard.
These little pigs have a max hit for around 200 and about 12-14k worth of hps. Even slowed they can still do a lot of damage. Being a necro I can argo kite it around, but it takes at least two rounds of dots to kill if not more. I haven't noticed any kind of magic resistance on them. Out of the 6 or 7 I have killed they have dropped only a high lvl reseach page for enchanter and that has been it.
Wow! I didn't know what lvl these guys are. I saw one outside a tunnel in Nadox and in conned blue. I pulled it and sent in my Air pet. I depleted my mana bar and almost lot my pet, but I was able to solo him. He, of course, was kind enough to drop nothing for me for my efforts.
I saw this guy guarding one of the tunnels, and had a bloodtusk beast charmed, armed, and hasted; but in fighting my way out of the caves, my pet was down to about 30% hp. I decided to try this yellow pig anyways... Well, between my damaged pet, and my dots, we got him down to about 40%, I had already hit him with glamour of Tunare and snared, and when my pet died I tried to charm him but he resisted several times before I got jumped by several trolls... I was unable to snare/root them all, and they killed me, but next time I will go after him with a fully healed pet. I imagine a 58+ druid would be able to get charm to stick.
I charm boars all the time with my Command charm spell. A little savage spirit and away you go. destroys everything in your path....until charm breaks.
These can pop in any of the spots where the guards to the different tunnel entrances spawn. He also makes a SWEET pet for druids with Command of Tunare!
I killed this sucker (conned red to me)with my level 52 Shadowknight with complete buffs on him and a kind Shammy (who was walking by)slowed it for me the whole time.
Took forever and I was down to 20% health but I took it....dropped nothing but was one of the more exciting battles in a long time
One of these popped in the corner spot right when you come up from the lava entrance. Usually there is a Soot Covered Miner there, but occasionally a Blood Tusk will spawn there. They have more HPs then even the Guardians. On this occasion, it dropped a Blue Diamond. First time I ever had one drop loot.
Mobs in the are where this spawn hit for about 120 max. This as far as I remember hits for at least 160ish and has about 2-3 times the HP of the other mobs, so it CAN be a surprising opponent to fight.
Duo'd this with just myself (51 mage) and my 53 ENC buddy (Fermat). Took 2 mage pets with me chain healing (Primal Remedy and Renew Summoning) and 2 enc animations. Once he was slowed and crippled the the fight was pretty boring until he ENRAGED at the end which killed my 1st pet and the second enc animation. All he dropped was a star ruby. :P
The fight took 8 minutes, I was OOM at the end and my friend was 50%. Pretty disappointing really. Oh well, bragging rights I guess. There aren't many duo's that could take mobs 5+ levels higher than they are. :D
These guys con even to a level 58. They have a fair amount of hit points but don't seem to hit much harder than anything else in the zone. Everytime I have killed them they have dropped nothing.
