solo'd by an 80 Sk, anguish geared

Solo'ed by an 80 ranger - TSS geared.
Was killed by a group last night, our guilds MT and top Pally were tank and ramp tank. Cleric CHing the MT and a Shaman spot healing the Pally, Enc there to help with CC and a monk.
Dropped plate and leather bracer but took about 1-2 hours to kill.

If you are going to make statements like this, for of it to be any use to others, state your group's progression in the game.
We got the same 2 drops as ya but used a bit more dps to drop him in just over 17 minutes (I died at that point with him at 8%, foolish choice of a moment to reposition him). Anyway, great cleric, sizeable paly (14k, 2.6k), bard, 2xranja's and a botted shamy drain this boy of his 800k+ HP in a longish but way fun fight.

I realize this is 2.5 years old, but I keep seeing this attitude over and over. He simply posted that he was able to kill it with a group, and described the group. He didn't say "Look, we're so awesome because we're uber enough to kill it with just a group." It was an informative post, saying "He is groupable; here is the group we were able to kill him with."

not quite a good comparison, i could solo ragefire when i was EP geared, granted as a Mage, but still not a good comparison....get youre point tho.

Besmirch made a very solid point. And anyone that would be so judgemental has serious problems. Bottom line here is they didn't share information. At least none that hasn't already been stated (rampage).

You can control push in this zone to begin with?
Pin in a corner and you dont have to worry about push

He is similar to magmaton, but more difficult because you have to fight him underwater and positioning is harder.

There was alot changed in resent patches - 1 being this mob is now slowable, sorry dont recall if fully, or partial, but slow did land and it is confirmed by fellow guild shamans.
