I dont think acrylian cost as much as it use to be since black panther armor cost alot more
My monk is wearing a full set of acrylian ( which was not expensive) with some piece of black panther ( the best parts)
everything cost me just 3k pp which is not much a fairly decent price for a monk armor :)

ok here is the deal. This is some of the best armor that can be bought in the gane for a few classes ie druids and monks. Why does it cost so much? Cause the acrilla that u need for it is kinda hard to get. It doesnt drop all that much and the mobs that drop it are kinda nasty. Ok so you got your acrilla. U need the pelts. Ok thats isnt exactly easy either. You also need to make a taning agent for this stuff. other steps are needed if u want to know look it up on eqtraders. Now all of the things I just listed, yes there kinda hard but not that bad, you all what to know why this stuff is so costly. Not cause of getting the components, Its cause taioring is friggen hard to raise your skill in. I am tired of hearing peps complain about the prices of this stuff. If you dont want to drop a few Kpp for some nice stuff, Drop 20K on tailoring and make this stuff your damn self. People pay for somthing cause they want it, if you dont want to pay what I ask for this stuff then make it yourself or go without. Its that simple. And it should be motivation for you guys to up your skills so you too can charge 5k for somthing you make.

components are ***** to get unless you are 45ish with good resists. you have to kill grmlings in teneb to get components to be smithed into components for acrylia. grimlings are a ***** to pull, they all come out, and half of them are wizards. they weren't that tough for me at 41 but when 5 geomancers come out, you're screwed. they're also a rare drop. vewwwy nice tho
Try Goranga Gatherer's in Maiden's eye level 50ish, stupid, but hit hard. Easy to pull, plenty of space to kite multiple. If you get bored, you can Kill vampires and other such things =P

After some half a day of camping hoppers grouped with some 50+ ppl, i cam out with some 6 Superb and 5 Flawless (and that's because a very friendly monk let have most of them), the acrylia is now my bottleneck.
So u ppl out there grumbling about the armor prices... take it to VI for very low drop rates.
Bottom line: most tailored armor is kinda costly because of the drop rates and that will raise the prices skyhigh.

Can someone plz tell me how to make these tailored pieces and where all the items to make the pieces are?
These legs are arguably the second best tradeable legs in the game for monks (only Oiled Greaves have better stats). If you want to price these out based on their usefulness, put them somewhere between Nathsar legs and Oiled Greaves. But the price data on Nathsar legs is silly low, by any measure - and I've NOT ONCE seen a pair for sale. I'd be willing to pay at least in the 5k range for these (on Druzzil Ro, where prices are pathetically depressed in comparison to what I see posted).

Flayed Barbarian Skin Leggings, 60 ac 10 str 10 dex 10 agi 10 sta 100hp 0.0 wt. Droppable, best monk leggings in game almost, PLUS they are droppable, Oiled greavesthey are 15 ac 7 str 20 hp 5 mana, 1.5 wt FBSL go for 225K+ and oiled greaves go for 10k or so. I would say for anyone who doesnt want to spend 10k on legs for their monk, go to bazaar buy the pieces for steel threaded, get those, and save 9500pp to fill up our other slots

According to a Verant info blip a few days back, there will never be a "weight" issue with Beastmasters of any race. Simply put, the whole idea that beastmasters are monkish is very blown outta context.
That's right, i haven't seen many do that much damage...the warders do more damage most of the time.

ugh...I've been noticing that these types of tailored armors are WAY too expensive for the general public...I mean..come on, even people 55+ can't afford a full suit of black pantherskin armor... so, what about these leggings? I'm wondering if we're gonna have to pay 15kpp+ for tailored armor... why implement an item when 95% of the people on your server won't be able to afford it? these would be very nice for my monk..if only they were reasonably priced...
I'm of the opinion (for what that's worth) that the price of a tailored armor should have some correlation with the cost of making it. If it is possible to get all the materials by looting and/or foraging, the prices should be reasonable. If, however, you need to buy items that are very expensive to even attempt to make them, then the final selling price of the item will be correspondingly high - perhaps 3x the cost of materials, to cover for inevitable failed attempts.
So, I suppose the big questions are:
1: What materials are required to make Acrylia reinforced armor?
2: How are the materials procured?
3: If materials are purchased, how expensive are they?
If we know that, we should have some idea of what would be a realistic selling price. If the going prices wind up being out of this world, then you won't see too many "sold" sets of this armor. Most likely, it would wind up being worn by twinks of the manufacturer, as the armor's attributes probably aren't good enough for anyone that would be high enough in level to be able to afford to make it.

How do you price mob drops? They cost nothing to get (OK, maybe some Peridots if that is the way you hunt). So why aren't they free?

I try to price my tailored goods relative to other items. This sometimes means that I won't make an item, since the stats suggest a price that is too low for my time and effort. I suppose if someone wanted an entire suit of Acrylia Reinforced armor, I would make the low-worth items.
Of course, as someone suggested, I put much of it on my beastlord twink. :)

1) the difficulty of obraining the materials. Acrylia takes HOURS to gather.
2) The overall investment made by the tailor to achieve whatever level of skill is required to manufacture the goods.
I know that at 189 tailoring skill I have spent over 50kpp on materials and I will be spending a LOT more to achieve a higher skill score. Most tailors would like to recoup at least part of their investment.

When was the last time you have ever seen a monk in a suit of Black panther armor? I havent yet.
I wouldnt mind having a couple pieces of the pantherskin armor but by the time I save the plat for them i could buy MUCH better stuff dropped off mobs.

These legs size up very well against Black Pantherskin armor for monks. All Acrylia armor is very light weight and most have good melee stats. Expect to pay multiple kpp for any major item.
Having an Erudite Paladin, this is very appealing. Very low weight, so it's great for encumbrance. AC 10 is 2 points better than banded. Bonuses in STR, STA, and WIS give me bumps in all my primary attributes.
I'll be very interested in seeing what the prices for these wind up being, because they look great for the mid-level Erudite melee-type.

As a Pally, your best bet is to stick to Crustacean Shell armor - MUCH less expensive and much more STA. As an Erudite, you should have decent Wis. One or two Wis items, a bunch of Dex (and AGI, if you can manage) gear to compensate for the Crusty hits plus low starting Erudite stats, and you're all set.
