Ok I want one of these..Being a Dwarven Cleric with my Disciple Symbol of Brell and a alcohol tolerance of 180(since AT is a lvl cap skill) it would mean that I should own one of these...Not just for the great stats but also for the roleplay alone..Now does this drop off the clerics or Inny himself?...well good hunting and safe journey to all.

The magic items seem to be based off other roleplaying games...Like in AD&D alot of magic armour forms to fit you when you put it on so thats maybe how a dwarf can wear these..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

Its just a JPEQ file (*.jpg). JPEG is a compression scheme to reduce the size of the graphic. JPEG is known as a "Lossy" compression scheme which means you actually lose the original details to a certain degree.

When you convert a graphic to JPEG compression, you have a choice on how much to compress it (i.e. 50% loss) and the more loss you add into the compression, the more detail you lose and the more "pixel artifacts" pop up like the blurred
lettering here.

As a comparison, a ZIP file uses "Lossless" compression meaning that no matter how much the file is compressed, when you uncompress it, you have 100% of the original data.

I know there's Lossless Graphics formats but right off hand, I'm not sure what they are.

Screenshots from EQ are .bmp files. The picture above is a .jpg.. Jpegs involve compression, compression can involve a loss of resolution. This sort of smudging is almost certainly laid at that doorstep when the original pic segment was converted to .jpg

Yup...the JPEG compression algorithm is useful only if the image is of photographic quality (pictures of "real" things). For "cartoony" images, such as computer text or screenshots of EQ, bitmaps and GIFs are probably better.

Yes, this has been around since they updated fear and hate. This is one of the race items that innoruuk drops, like the Hotof's bracer for wood elves and engineer's ring for gnomes.

Now my Dwarf cleric will be the BOM!! First i have the brell symbol that summons Bresl's Blessed stout,, and in <calculates> 32 levels or so i can attempt to get this cloak and become the Ultimate party outlet!!

Seriously as far as stats go, this item is exceptional, though i have a sinking feeling that 46 is a bit low for where this is going to be dropping, This might even be esier to get then the quest cleric/pally item that is a sheild from Qeynos that can go in the back slot as well, though i am not sure how they comepare AC/WIS wise!

Grats on anyone that gets this... do we know if it was just added or it is so rare that it took this long for it to drop?

If your talking about the Aegis of Life, the Agis is AC12, +10 WIS +25SVD wt 9.5, with 1 charge of Superior Heal. This is a better item, given the Additional overall stats, and the HP and MANA.

Too bad Im a high elf. Oh well Still going to di the Aegis quest soon.

Now this is nice, sure it doesn't have as much ac as I would want but the other stats make it well worth it. Something to go back to Hate for :).
