As a ShadowKnight, this item is great!
Int, Agi, SV Magic, Sta, everything helps out. These seem to be heavily caster oriented, however, and was wondering if anybody knows a better shoulder slot for a melee character for myself. Perhaps one someone may want to trade on Drinal.

All the stats are pretty good, even INT to help trade skills a little, just the 30 mana got completely wasted, but the 5svM is very good. The wt is not that bad either, 2.2wt ain't that much if you're high enough lvl.

Have to disagree with you on that... compare this to a drolvarg mantle, which you can get at a lower level (or buy much cheaper): Mantle weighs 0.7 less, has only 1 less AC but 3 more agility, has fire instead of magic reistance, doesn't have the int or mana (but monks don't need that anyway... as an iksar monk, my wis is higher than int, and I get WIS gear rather than INT gear to raise my skills, humans are a tie between wis or int, so get either. But I keep a separate set of wis gear in the bank for doing my tradeskills, on the gear I wear when I fight I get items better suited for fighting.). Really if you're at the level to get this, you can get or buy better monk items than this one. This is a nice item, but not really suited for monks, more for casters. I gave this item to my enchanter, who it's a lot more useful to than my monk.
You want a good monk shoulder, buy an acrylia reinforced shoulderpad or maybe a black pantherskin mantle... it's not worth the effort or money to get this item for a monk( but definitely is for a caster!)
Edit: Apparently you agree, according to your profile, the drolvarg mantle is what you're wearing, not this! Ironic, isn't it?

With the int and mana, I have not really seen anything better for a caster (mage) except for quested items.
I bought this along with a Beetlestinger for only 1800pp. Something tells me I got really lucky! = )

Being one of the chanters that like lots and lots of ac (726 self buffed at 53 in case anyone cares), this thing is perfect for me. 8 ac, int, and extra mana. What drops it?
