Greeting and salutations, Ive hunted in Stonebrunt awile first for experience then for the cash making possibilitys from getting pelts off the various titans,ive seen hese drop several times and cant seem to find if there a quest item for sure. Any info would be much appreciated.For any one not familiar with drop off the titans heres the tradables. Giang drops robe of the elder panda,Ghostback drops these darn gloves,Prowler prowling leopard leggings,Snowbeast Footpads of the tiger,Slyder the ancient drops a ancient snake fang and a venom sac rogue only with 1 charge poison on it. Nice rant!
Over the course of my hunting in Stonebrunt I killed Old Ghostback, the mob that reportedly drops these, about 20 some odd times. Never once did I see these on his finely diced remains. I would hope that they are for a quest in Erudin or Paineel like the rest of the Lore/No Drop items such as the hides, teeth(fangs), and Slyder's scale. I will look into this if I ever happen to get him to drop them, but until I have a reason I am not going to Paineel.

Does anyone even play the game anymore ? Or do you all come here to ***** and whine ? I came here to find information to help me excel in a game that I pay for as means of entertainment. When I come here I read all of the useless posts about how someones level 3 hobbit laid the smack down on a level 100 warrior, If you don't like the gloves in this case, fine... SELL THEM, DROP THEM, DESTROY THEM! but don't come tell me how much they suck. If you have no helpfull information please go tell your stories to someone on yahoo or some shiz, someone that will pretend to care, cause truthfully i could care less about your level 3 hobbit and how offended you are that someone who claims to be an adult is speaking down towards the 'kids'... don't you get it yet ? Half of the people here are most likely the person(s) behind that DE chiq you keep hitting on in the game, she's a man, the adult is a child.
BTW, sorry for the rant just came here to find anything about the gloves and to the person that said they were for a quest in paineel, can you provide a name of the quest or item in which the quest results in when completed, or even a person whom to speak to in paineel ? (I am KOS there so would like to know where i'm going and what i'm going for if i'm going to do the quest)

You are absolutely right. Alot of people think that unless a level 15 character is wearing level 55 items, that the character is useless. I have a 56 shaman and 2 other characters that my main will never twink. Nothing is wrong with twinking if that is what you want to do. But to me watching my character grow and acquire things on his own is rewarding. The loot here seems to be very appropriate for the level range to hunt here. It's just a game after all, a diversion from work or school for awhile. If you dont like the loot move on to somewhere else. It's not that big a deal.
at 4.5 wt and +4 Str, consider them .5 wt 5 Dex 2 Sta gloves and call it a day. Not a bad Rogue item if you look at it that way.
I don't think these are really meant for a monk. 4.5lbs is too much for a pair of gloves that drop off a L45 mob. Must be a quest item like most others said.

Considering these are a bit better than the gloves dropped by the deadly usher in mistmoore, and almost of equal value to the griffon talon gloves dropped by callowing in NK; they are barely appropriate for the risks involved. So there is precedent for the mob to drop value ratio here. However, for melee characters, these gloves basically suck. Gem Inlaid Gauntlets are twice as valuable, for only 2/3rds the risk. Better hope there is a real quest for something in Paineel or Erudin for these - and so far I haven't found it, despite being an Ally to the Heritics and warmly to many in Erudin.

WHO CARES if it does or doesn't have an effect? It's a quest item. Do we know what it gets us? No. Do we know who to turn it into or what else to get? No. Should we find that out? Yes!

And by the way. I understood perfectly, despite the random garbage and "potty words" floating around, what the person meant by lev. Have you ever rock climbed? Once you finish climbing to the top, wouldn't it be nice to float light as a feather down to the bottom? ... I'm not saying Verant should put levitate on it. Goodness no. Then all the Quillmane pharmers would move to SB Mts. BUT. Gee, I have the intelligence and imagination to see that yes, that would be cool and useful... funny that. Next time you are calling someone childish, try not to act so yourself. =)

I'm tired of the whining! Boo hoo hoo, my class is useless! Boo hoo hoo I can't farm everything with my level 60 and people who actually need the loot for themselves can get it... boo hoo hoo *sniffle*, *sniffle*... My class is better than your class! AHH! These items are No Drop...which indicates a strong possibility (since it drops off a lvl 44 mob) that it will be or is part of a quest...perhaps undiscovered to date.
I can see this item, along with other No Drops from lvl 40+ mobs, being turned in for a sweet pair of, oh, monk-type gloves?
With all the different mobs and lvls of mobs in this zone, I'm sure a whole bunch of quests are going to be added to the game too. And this one (if it is a quest) probably won't originate in Cat Village, IMO.

Just a quick warning, Old Ghostback will lower your faction with Kejekan Village and Peacekeepers, so you might want to think twice about that before you try to get these *uber* gloves <wink>

I don't see that they are all that great really... the stats are lousy for being dropped off of a lvl 44 Mob, they are no drop and have nothing that procs... the only thing good so far that I have found in this zone is experience if you can keep from dieing with all the aggros... I have a lvl 38 druid there and between the lag and LD's and the aggros she is hard pressed to keep experience she gains off the blue mobs

The mobs who drop the better stuff are mid 40's so you'd have no problem going there and getting them yourself....

As much as i like the items that drop off High level Mobs i still think that maybe a Lev triggered item or charged would have made this item better. They are Rock climbers gloves for goodness sakes.
But still they are nice for say lower level peaple to yell they will pay 50 plat to loot..

First of all, it's 16, not 10 :). Secondly, odds are I've been playing longer then most people here (can we say beta 3?). Also, isn't it fairly humurous (sp?) that you are using d00d sp3ak/6th grade insults while attempting to insult me? Anyway, back to the comment I was refering to.

Ok, first I'm not exactly an adult or child. I'm 21 years old and I still find fun in playing this game. The only thing that ruins this fun is when I go to look up a quest or something and see adults without lives flaming kids. I'm taking the kids side on this one...and if all you adults really had lives you wouldn't be picking on a 13 year-old having fun. You call their posts immature...but you don't even bother to look at yours and realize how immature it is for you to even bother responding to a stupid post.
