I finally got one of these. They drop off the Priest of Zek durring the Coldian 10th ring war, just outside of Thurgadin in the Great Divide. Apparently everyone in the guild, that was backing the ambitious person completing the quest, already had all they wanted. I was able to loot this off the priest.
Muhahaha, The druid strikes again Brushwood Blaze Terris-Thule
I'm curious about everyones opinion on the Velium War Maul which I use versus the Velium Etched Stone Mace which I can get. Maul is 9/24 no stat and Mace is 7/22 +3str. Which would be better?
I personally used the Stone Etched Mace on my pally who still has it at 35 for skillups in 1HB.
At the time I did not know about this jewel of a Weapon.
This weighs 0.5 stones versus the mace which i believe is 6.5 stones.
This means the mace would need a Str +6 just to offset the weight of owning one, which it does not have.
And the other factor is hitting power. In my experiences, the Maul has been hitting for my little cleric from level 4 to level 10 for 18 dam consistently. The mace always varied in its damage, tho that could just be my experiences.
I will definately pass the mace on my pally along to a newb as soon as i get him a maul.
I'm on the Quellious Server, looking for one of these items, this is totally outdated, my friend has one of these, bought it for about 250pp on our server, it's 9/24 MAGIC, 0.5 weight... nice for me cause i sometimes need a melee weapon even though i'm a druid..
Zelxvian Byrningwood <Twilight Defenders> Druid of the 31st Season
i was told i would have to cough up 1kpp for this. right after i buy one for 1kpp could someone sell me a spiked collar from blackborrow for 5kpp? i ask myself " what have people been smoking and where can i get my hands on some" =)
/shout PC on this POS plz =) <my guess not over 200 pp at most>

I have to agree with you. Heck, even a simple fighting baton is better than this for monks, except for that weight part. Cane of the Tranquil, with only one more delay, has 2 more damage. Zero weight is nice, but I doubt you'd see many monks dropping a superior weapon for this. This is definetely NOT a monk item, sorry to say, except maybe for monk twinks.
ok since everyone seems to think that this is such a great wepon let me point out that it only has 9 dmg on it, knuckle dusters have 14 so this wouldnt be an off hand wepon (delay doesnt effect off hand). Secondly it has 24 dly which isnt all that great. Jade Mace is a 9 18. The weight doesnt make much of a difference. All in all this wepon isnt that great and there are SOOO much better ones out there that u can get at lvl 45
Delay very much affect off hand weapon. take a very slow weapon in main hand and very fast weapon in off hand, and you will see you are sometime getting 2 hits from off hand between 2 hits for main.
I was the one that posted this item but it was posted wrong for some reason,i put that it was not magical and the weight is wrong because it is 0.5 weight.Dunno what happened.
Asheran Mojomaster 50 Barbarian Shaman Veeshan Seekers of Lore
It says here that the weapon is magical, BUT I recently obtained one of these and I checked it and rechecked it and I do not see anywhere it saying it is a magical Item. Very odd. I will try to get a Screen Shot up this evening, so you dont all think I am crazy =)

EVERY class can benifit from a zero weight item! it just means you can carry more, so give it the <beep>!! up about zero weight items all "going" to the FRIGGN monks!

Not saying monks don't have to watch their wt or anything like that, but to say that they are the only one who deserves it just because its light is rediculous, as an iksar shaman I have to contend with a different wt problem, staying under my str so I am not too encumbered and that much easier of a target, trust me its not easy with the armor we have to wear to live. And before you say it yes shaman can melee, we are closer to hybrid than most casters. That being said I would still keep my Jaded Chondaki Prod, why because it has better wisdom and still has a good ratio (2.72).
Actually, it would be an excellent weapon for a monk. A wis caster, at least at the level it would drop at, would rather not give up whatever wisdom he or she has for the better ratio. Of course, any melee would like it if they went for 1h blunt, but frankly the most ideal class for this weapon would indeed be a monk.
That being said, anyone inclined to use it and didn't have better should have a chance to roll on it.
No self respecting monk would ever say "I'm the monk I get this." If you haven't noticed it's become a joke on this site, where every item that comes along some dumbass posts "Oh, there's 0.1 weight or 0.0 weight I'm a monk it should be mine." I've never ever ever said or even thaught these things, and being a monk it's very discouraging that people actually think all monks are actually like this! I've actually had people tell me that I'm not getting something just because of the weight (i.e. wurm scale coat)!!! I was honestly shocked at being accused of thinking like this as I can assure you I am not. Anyway, this whole monk joke thing is way too over played, and it's started to interfer with my gaming experience.

This is probably the whiniest claim I've ever heard on a messageboard before: Your gaming experience is being hampered by posts on a messageboard. It couldn't be that some Monks have actually done this; it must be those darned message boards.

#Anonymous,
Posted:Jun 14 2001 at 12:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) just because you don't say it doesn't mean other monks don't... personally a lot of monks that come on this site ranting about a 0.0 piece of jewelery ( as most jewelery is 0.1 and i have played a monk and it doesn't make much of a difference) and that they must have it because it will make a huge impact on how they can live out their monkly lives, and the hole world is screwed up if someone other than a monk rolls on it. Yes, that was a run on and a half sentence... but i don't think monks should get any special privledges to an item just because it's under 1.0 weight. =)

There's the joke again. I'm not sure if you understand that 99/100 of the posts demanding an item be "monk only" don't even play the monk class. It's been a joke for the longest time. Thanks for proving my point.
