I am sure this weapon is more rare, it does not have the Strength and Stamina, but take a look at this compared to the Ceni Longsword...
There is a reasonable difference but when you concider the level to obtain, its quite a bit different. I dont know how common a centi is, but from what I have seen this guy is a pretty solid camp.
My 34 ranger stood toe to toe with him, buffed... I could have given him a better fight. But he devoured me. Shield is visable on the mob.
Umm wakeup, just because it isn't lore doesn't mean it is dual wieldable. For it to be dual wieldable, it has to be equippable by a freakin class that can dual wield.

Heck, my poor Level 39 Ranger still uses one with his Lupine Dagger. If anyone thinks a level 39 Ranger shouldn't still be using a CSS... send a Tell to Garniham on Karana and I'll gladly take whichever weapon you'll buy me :-)
Well this is an old picture, before gnomes could be palladins and SKs, halflings could be palladins, and frogloks were even playable. You're correct, it's just that this picture is out of date. You'll note in the description that gnomes, halflings, and frogloks are listed as being able to use this; only the picture omits them.

Very nice weapon but my close friend who is a 57 enchanter, got me a 10/22 +5 str 1hs so i will be selling this on Xev. I think i still got a hell of a deal on this one.
Personally, I lucked out at the Bazaar and found a seller unloading one for 50 plat! Everyone else was at 100-150 or better, so you better believe I bought the one!
For my fellow Paladins out there, let me tell ya... This weapon rocks, plain and simple. I've played characters who are built for dual wielding and for 2hs smackdown. I built my Pally to tank and disrupt casters via shield bash.
This chunk o' steel holds aggro nicely as I chop away at the mobs for up to 41 damage or so. I'm not eager to give it up for 2hs, despite the epic. And with my Shield of the Stalwart Seas (another steal I got for 100pp), I can hold my own against most foes. I can lay down some serious damage Double Attacking with this sword and causing havoc with spellcasters with Bash (and my SvM of 48 helps, too).
I'll gladly give up the high-damage of a two-hander for all the benefits of using my one-two punch. Don't discount the value of 1hs and the tanking pally!
Let me echo Thederick's post from a SK point of view. This is like having a 2hs weapon AND getting the use of Bash with a shield.
After I trained in Double Attack, I went back to OT and found a Barbed Succulent that was dark blue to me. I started the attack and instantly slashed for 36 and 34 with a 20 bash. I on the other hand got hit for 11. I finished off the Barbed succulent in short order and hardly lost any health. I will trade 90 dmg for 11 dmg with a MOB anyday.
I know I need to have 2hs for my epic, but this 1hs is hard to beat, especially in groups when you need bash to interrupt casters.
The two monks probably didn't work on their skills due to being able to breeze through the early levels too fast. I tried to see if twinking and powerleveling would ruin a character. Made a dwarf warrior and gave him armor, weapons and some plat. Gave him 3 backpacks, 1 full of Crushbone Belts, the 2nd with Crushbone Pads and the 3rd with Bone Chips. Turned in the belts and pads and headed to North Kaladim to turn in the bones in the Paladin guild. Long story short, the little guy is up to 12 and I'm still trying to get his skills up to cap. He's not that great due to not have good defense or even 2hs =\ Anyway, most (not all) twinks don't work on skills so that they don't last as long as the other classes in a fight.
I bought one pretty cheap 180pp and I love it! It is slightly slower than my SK's previous weapon (Crystallized Blade 13 31) But it makes up for that in the amount of damage it does! Oh by the way Crystallized Blade for sale! I am on Ayonae Ro server Contact Bludshed!
Seems the last 4 posts were made by the same person... oh well.. we all know monks rock and we dont have to listen to this prick... and it seems we kinda got off-subject about the sword :)
i was running around in freeroot killing lizardman broodlings at lvl 1
a lvl 38 sk ogre (which was my lvl and class) ran up, gave me 500gp 600sp and 3000cp a long with the sporali defender sword, a chitin shell sheild, and like 20 lizard tails!!!!!!
now, who can argue with that? that was some awesome luck!
36 Pally with FP armor and a few random items in addition. Wielding a BABS. He was Dark blue to me and I smacked him. His regen is viscious but if you can keep nailing him his life will drop. He forced me to use my LH and I killed him with 2 red bubs of life left.
He dropped the Defender, which I gave to my L2 SK :)
I dont fully aggree with you. some people are comfortable starting a fight with say 30% health? Laugh. Besides a LONG fight is not always a DIFFICULT fight. I mean if he can clearly tell he IS winning and stands his ground.... then its just a long fight. I mean adds and harm touches, spells and stuff thats when its ugly. if he correctly calculated it and chopped the guy up. hes fine, it can still be concidred 'easy'... hes not dead :D - ok some might say thats difficult... fine.
The graphic for this is the jagged edge sword. the same one you see for the berserker's sword, where it's a curved blade with the back of the blade looking like a sawtooth
Within a 4 hour period, two dropped for us in the room with 5 entrances and the wagon in the center. As a ranger I love to pull to this room as it is centrally located to pull both Goblin Destroyers for that precious Blackened alloy armor and the nice weapons and to pull the sporali Defenders and their kin.
That room is also very safe except for the occasional Sporali Defender roaming in.
our group was around 22- 24 when we looted the the sporali Defender Blades. As we had no paladins, I was lucky enough to win the roll for one of the swords.
Needless to say it was reason enough for me to start a paladin character.

I was looking for the sporali gloves as I am using a slow 2hs.
Over a day or so of logging on and off Saw the moldmaster on the platform 5x
He always conned blue to me.
First I cast cancel magic on him to remove the thorn shield and then trained him out of the room a bit (sometimes to the ramp to lvl 4)
Then I darknessed him, Heat blood and Heart flutter, and with a few lifetaps killed him averaging half health and mana. He dropped the blade EVERY time.
This however has made me very KOS here and so I aggro the defenders.... My tactic was to run to zone and then back in again.
Moldmaster just stood there at the zone edge and I picked him off easy. This was the only time he spawned the sporelings too.
Nice low lvl sword shame I had to let 3 of them rot as the zone was deserted..
Hail, I recieved this blade from a higher level Paladin at 10 seasons and its been the best thing I'v ever had ( Am I now considered twinked?). So why is it when I look on the Paladin discusion board no one even metions this blade? Its got excelent damage although its speed is less than desired, and I do get the occasional hostile Barbarion asking me "Is that a Berserker Sword?". But all in all its pretty sweet sword. Am I missing something here?
Torec Paladin of Tunare of the 13th Season Luclin "For the Glory of Tunare!"
Yes. You are missing something. This blade is near to what can be called uber and sooooo many folks want to spread the word as to where to get it. Do yourself and all Pallies and SKs a favor and keep it under your hat so Verant won't make it harder to get.
