ok so what does this actually look like? Someone said it looks like the primal spears, not like Narandis' Lance. But then someone else posted a supposed pic of it looking like NArandi's Lance.

Well personally i would suggest centi warspear, its about 50pp and at 20/30 its great for practicing your skill.
This weapon seems a bit slow for my liking, but its damage is good...and am i the only one who loves the 25AC it gives? I mean i like to do as much damage as i can but at the end of the day my job as pally tends to be tanking, so AC important to me, if i use 1h i get better ac but though i hit quicker i dont do as much damage due to poor damage bonus...not to mention the mobs beat the hell out of me with ripostes. So 2h means better dps and less ripostes on meso i like to use them even though i have to say goodbye to AC from a shield, so, a 2h that does big damage a proc AND gives me 25AC...surely a tanks dream?

I've had this for a while, gave up my Black Bastardsword for it, and it rips up undead in Halls of Honor and Plane of Tactics. It's good in LDoN, also.

Needless to say I'm going to stick a damage modifier from LDoN on it just to see the big crits with it.
It's a big hitter, I like the slower, bigger hits, but when you miss a lot it really takes you down a few pegs DPS wise. It's just my "style" to have the bigger beefier hits (I love the tantor's tusk back when it was powerful seeming) but that's only until I land a goldenrod or elemental+ weapon.

Hello guys I was just curious if anyone who actually had this weapon would post on its looks please. I was going to get one either way honestly but I have had a weapon called a Worn Shadin Naginta and I have seen the Lance of Thunder and it also looks just the same as that. It is an uber look like a long staff with a blade on the end, but I would prefer the Lance look if possible. I will be getting this weapon soon so I hope it looks good while on a horse hehe.

Looks like a primal spear that rogues run around with. Not like Narandi's lance and not like the lance of thunder.

So I will keep my eyes out on one of those spears thanks.
just one prob with the hole lance idea this is a spear not a lance. but a real lance on a nice lookin DE SK mounted on a black steed would just look kick ***

Dude hello this proc is uber SK or not hell this SK would use it to smoke undead that DOT is for 125 HP every six seconds. Thats a nice proc I think =) and all its got to do is proc once in battle and do some nice damage! This SK will totally take that heh.

Killing Rev's in Scarlet Desert... I could see this useful there (proc wise), but the ratio ain't bad...
And yes, I would let a pally have this over me... I'd like to wield a weapon that doesn't burn to hold it... =P

Could you imagine what kind of damage my rogue could do with this weapon. Looks like Verant figured this out too as rogues would rule EQ with this badboy. Still, never understood why a Pally would want to use a piercer instead of a slasher. I guess this would be one of those reasons.

No, that's why a moron choses a particular weapon - anyone else takes weapon X over weapon Y because it is more effective in battle - it's all well and good to leave a neat looking corpse when you get killed with a better looking weapon in your hand, but otherwise, I'd rather be looting mob corpses then CRing mine.
U can just image that a small rog hold a big lance, and trying to sneak to the mob's back.

Whoo boy!... I agree with you there, too bad my piercing is... well, put it this way - REAL BAD. Ah well, the 1-h slash version is very decent and procs the same thing. Still wouldnt mind having this, really good reason to practice that skill.

A paladin and a two handed piercer tends to make sense. Both Shadow Knights and Paladins are knights lol and a lance tends to make sense, especially with the new luclin horses :P Anyway, if you want to get your piercing skill up as fast as possible a crystal grinder is the fastest piercer I've fond that is paladin usable.

incase none of you have ever checked out eq emu you can put a 2hp on a rogue but you cant BS with it so even if you could use one its woulnt be worth it

I've been having this discussion with my friends after seeing this item on this web site, and since WE ourselves can't get one, how do SK's use a 2HP when they only have 1HP that just doesn't make sense.

Yes. The 2h piercing skill uses the regular 1h piercing skill to work off of. Examples are all of those velium lances that range from 30/40 to 32/36. They are all shadowknight useable and 2hand piercing.

Hello all, I am not here to argue with anyone here but to simply give some advice on how Paladins can work their peircing as quick as possible. I was farming FM for rares and killed a Goblin Trailblazer, he did not drop anything special, but did drop a pericing weapon that to my suprise Paladins can use. The stats kinda suck but does swing fast and can be weilded with a shield. 4/21 stam 4 is the stats, thanks and good luck. I am a 52 Paladin and am still using it to practice with, sometimes when im grouped =).

To answer your question there is a very easy way (not quickly) and I know alot of people will say EXPOIT. Go up to the 6th floor in the Tower of Frozen Shadow, spook a blue mob, he will go the the entry point. Proceed to hit him and you should be able to bring the skill up to a usable level within a few hours and get some exp to boot. I did the same thing with 2hb (0 to 170 or so in about 5 hours (along with half a level).
Wow, 2 years since the time of this post (how long before that was the 6th floor pathing this way?) and that is finally changed. Anyway just so ya all know, this trick doesn't work anymore with the pathing "fixes" that went in recently, the 6th floor is still a hell of a nice place to consistantly fight DB's in your High 40's but it aint the AE paradise it was.

yes...it is definitely an awesome weapon, and glad to see that verant is throwing it out in the crowd of other weps, infact, all you need to be is 55-60, and raid VEESHAN, to have a SLIM chance of getting one of these...wtg VI >8-0

im an SK and i can humbly admit that it simply is NOT a hybrid's job too keep up in melee dmg with a monk or even a warrior. get a clue. if u ABSOLUTELY MUST do the most melee dmg than make a monk and quit yer bawlin'.
some ppl think they should be able to cast up a storm, stunning and healing AND keep up in dmg with warriors, rogues, and monks. well if that were the case the what would be the point of being a warrior rogue or monk? DUH!?!?!
accept yer positives and yer negatives and make the most of them. 2h weaps can be VERY powerful. their main purpose (especially on the monk 2hb's) is to give u an option if u happen to be taunting at an undesirable point in the fight, yet keeping dmg up (to some extent). also consider the makeup of your class. yes SKs do get lil better dmg weaps but as u can tell by our spells(DoTs, lifetap nukes, ATK buffs) we are mainly offensive, whereas pallies get lil better AC on their gear and spells like heal, AC buff, stun, HP buff. (sounds kinda defensive eh?)

This is most excellent. I always had faith that VI would bring meaning to giving PAL/SK the 2hP skill :) (yes I know it works off the 1hP skill, I'm not stupid).

I admit that these 2hp weapons are real nice. This weapon is no exception. It's INSANE. My question is this. Is it worth using these new 2hp weapons? There are some damn nice 1 handed weapons out there. And you get to use a shield to bash and get a big boost of AC when using one handed weapons. Another thing is that in most groupes, Palies and SKs are used for meat shields, not DMG dealers. So tell me, would a Palie or SK really use this?

At the level you need to be to get this, you would look a fool for having a shield unless it gave you Monster Stat boosts. AC means diddly to the high end mobs that drop this gear, you are much better off using 2 handed weapons. Plus there are some 2 handed weapons that allow you to bash still...I can't recall them, but I've heard about them (Firey Defender?).

The only 2 handed weapons i know of that allow you to still bash are epics unless your and Ogre, Troll or Barb who all have the slam ability which is useable at all times and for classes that get bash it works of that skill.

Also many people dont want to fall into the same routine. They dont want to be standard I guess you can say. Everyone with the same wepaons and armor.

Paladins have had Pierce since Kunark. Try using a Harpoon of the Depths, it's quite the lovely weapon at that level. I used one for a while, until I got an MOQ. =)

What i want to know is where are the low level piercers for pallys or do thay have to get to 40-50 and then start using a 2hP with zero skill and bareky hit anything for ages ?
Try bogling weps in echo caverns, they are all 1h and one is 8/29 one is 7/27? and the last is like 6/24. You could also try Needlite stinger off of the Needlite Queen also in echo. It is 7/24 and 2 disease dmg.
get a FS dagger, go to a zone where you can get xp( fi high keep or DL, depending on lvl) look for a group, say hi i wanna prac my piercing a bit,may i? and stab away with your 3 dam 19 delay weap) i am sure your skill will go up rather fast

Can use the crystal grinder for example - delay isn't bad for getting your skill up and paladins can use.

Other minor thing: Duel is usually defined as a single combat between two individuals, usually for the purpose of defending one's honor. Dual, however, means two-at-once. ;)
