Scars of VeliousJust for your information, version 1.0 of PoM exists on on Al'Kabor (aka the Mac server) and I have confirmed that you CANNOT combine the Buckler of doom in the Pot of Gold with Words of Wealth to make Funny Money. It won't combine so yes, this is the final, sucky, reward for the 4 black card combine in the DoSG.
I have also confirmed that the mushroom bracelet (two throne combo), the mask of melodies (one throne combo) and greaves of distraction 9two throne combo) all combine with Words of Wealth to yield Funny Money.
On Al'Kabor, Peachy asks for 4 Funny Money to get a Gift Box and that's how many I had to hand her. Finally, I confirmed that the color of the gift box returned is random and not matched to the class of the toon doing the Funny Money turn in. My mage turned in, and I got a Silver Gift Box that summons dolls for Shaman class doll armors.

This is a zone with an entrance deep into NToV and also one that will never be accessable to a pick up group and the quests are that damn complicated? Like someone else said here, this item can be used to create gift boxes, for those of you who don't know how PoM works... first you quest the deck of spontanious combustion, then combine cards in it thus creating this

the funny money is handed in to a npc to get a random gift box (used to complete the quest for the PoM class specific armor) also considering there are 5(?) colors of gift boxes 1 for each class and you get a RANDOM gift box for the turnin would you rather turn your ac15 hp/mana 70 belt of inconsistancy into funny money or this shield? granted yes the shield does suck but that doesn't make it useless. This is not a final reward

First of all this isn't the worst item in the game it is nice shield for anyone who needs str and say if u have 200+int or wis on a caster its a nice item especially for clerics who have a hard time carrying all their gear

These can be used to create the gift boxes!! I would rather use this stupid thing than some other more "useful" planar armor!

Wow, a rational thought. Verant actually keeping with the "mischief" theme. And Oh No, the powergamers might waste a few of their cards figuring out this "bum" combo. Hmm, I'm still waiting for the down side, I think it's a riot!

All of you people were not thinking of necros. This item would be a great necro item because of the hp and mana. But... Yes, there is better items for a necro around the level it takes to get this, but it could also help with that STR issue for necros. btw, is this thing still no drop? I know how most items from POM are no longer no drop, this would be a great twink item.

Unless you have a desperate need for STR, there are a ton of items that are better. A caster can get a crystal web shield at around level 40, and even that's a far better Secondary slot item. Hybrids and clerics have shields available that far outclass this. Considering that this comes from the Plane of Mischief, I'd expect a LOT better. Those saying it's ok obviously don't have a clue about what you have to go through to even get NEAR PoM.

(most are accounts I "inherited" so don't say I have no life...which IS true tho =). Seriously, not ONE of my characters would take this over what they already have...its trash, well and truly useless. Sure, its possible someone could use this...but looking at the other rewards out there...I think people would save their cards.

You could easily have a sarnak battle shield if you are a melee / priest or an ornate rune shield by the level you need to acquire this. And I *know* someone's going to point out the ORS has int on it, well it also has 5 extra AC and 5 to all saves so I'd say it's better even if it makes you go over 200 int.

okay i have an idea. how about all the people that think this item sucks keep it to themselfs? no one is makeing you get this item so shut up about it okay? if you dont like it...dont do the quest. i know this higher logic is hard on some people but im sure you will understand soon enough. complaining here isnt going to do anything to change it so whats the point?

Seems to me any caster thats 200+ int could use this... wouldnt be bad for paladin or sk that uses a 1h weapon, 40mana is a bubble or so for a hybrid, and 15 str and 45 hp is really nice... but the 10ac is kind of low, probally the reason for the 45 hp, weightless? bah, i aint no monk wussy so i dont have to worry bout that

I am level 57 and i have well over 2000 mana dont tell me its one bubble. Think about it if it was one bubble i couldnt even casts superior heal.it may be one bubble if your level 15.

Not many sub 55 warriors will be entering POM.
At 55, warriors kicks will stun.
This shield is crap for hybrids.
This shield is crap for priests.

At the level you can obtain this item, it's a crap item for all/all.

It's useable by all races, all classes, and it's possible (assuming you can get into the zone) to do the zone solo.

Errr hello, if you actually read the description, you would note that this item is a shield, not a belt. So unless you can suddenly wear belts on your arms, you'll need to find another item to compare this to, to say how awful it is.
