after looking at the NPC list for steppes and seeing what drops off of alot of them, especially the number of different spells the rarity has to be astronomical for any particula one of them. after levelling my shaman from maybe 64-69 here i had gotten 4-5 spells and now my mage for one level plus some so far, another 4 spells including this spell, off of a gnoll. i already have the banestrike for gnolls for the mage so no real idea how many i've killed, maybe 500 or more combined, probably alot higher (shaman+mage) the RNG gods were nice and gave it to me.
Willing to buy this spell, 15k on Fennin Ro

I have hunted and hunted for this spell (maybe 50+ hours in the undead camp in Direwind by now), it is obviously not a common drop and is still selling for 250k on Povar which I refuse to pay that for any spell. Anyways, good luck to the mages. I may have to jsut start slinging C again on my chanter since his rk ii C was easier to get lol.
Why SoE made all the summoned mage spells drops only and made them drop from mobs that can be kited by necros is beyond me. Ok, whiney mode off now <grin>.

Had a good night in Direwind found this one and noticed when setting trader that it wasn't a rank spell so looked it up and placed a guess of 75k. Thought I would have to drop the price but in the morning woke up to find it had sold straight away.

75k, that's it? This spell seems to be uber rare. I've been hunting direwind, steppes, and sunderrock for it for months with no luck. It goes for a minimum of around 200k on emarr from what I've seend. I'm too cheap to buy it however. My guess is that someone bought it for 75k and put it back up for 200kish. Hopefully a mage who actually needed it got it for the good price.

Dropped from a Darkfell gnoll in steppes as lots of other level 71 spells
Why would this be dropped outside of TSS off such a low level mob, it has to be a mistake??

Agreed, the author was probably confusing this with the spell Summon: Muzzle of Mardu, which does drop off cliff golems.
Removing it from "a cliff golem"'s drop list for now. If someone can confirm it drops this spell and not the other one, we'll re-add it.
a cliff golem in the overthere. Am not a magician, so I had never heard of this spell before, checked here and was amazed. Definitely dropped off a cliff golem in the overthere

This spell is NOT sold, it's dropped by random trash mobs, Direwind is the only place I've heard of it dropping so far but may also drop in Icefall.
