OBSOLITE???

The CC legs were always a mystery to me...
evry singe piece of th Cc set has better stats than the legs.Common if gauntlets has AC 20, STR 10 and 35mana..I was expecting legs to be AC 30 STR 15 STA 10..or soemthign in that range..they arer as hell too...
anyway..it was always was FOR THE LOOK....and its was druid wearable (now this was put into game BEFORE luclin )

Yes the shining crystal plate look was amazing..just liek the old days mithrill for rangers...

ANYWAY..then Luclin comes alive...and Brown Chitin Legs ac 12 wis 5 WITH plate look. Druids cannot even wish for better in that price range...
And one more thing - Luclin grafic put the end to the Velios special texturing..so bye-bye crystal plate....

Today with LOY ability to paint evrything into anyhtign.....well..wahst left of this legs?

memories..memories...

P.S. Dear Verant please review the dem CC legs and put them into SAME stats line as rest of CC armor (right, like they ever listen to anyone)
I would like a pair.

I am looking for a pair on Terris Thule. Aenolin in game.
Niice Look
# Oct 22 2002 at 3:23 PM Rating: Decent

The only reason these sell for inflated prices is look, not stats. I have seen one pair on my server for sale in last month listed at 11k, and guess what , they r still there LOL. I would love to own these, and have plenty of loot if i wanted them. But, 11k is crazy. I can see maybe 6k for look alone. I will say this, they must be a very rare drop cause there is a boat load of Gauntlets, arms and shields. But the boots and legs are very rare. Oh well, some unsuspecting trader will drop these for cheap and i will be there to snatch them up.

These

Umm...suck?
Yay 35 mana...yay...thats like 3 ************** I could have gotten Gatorscale legs solo at level 38 instead.

5 Stamina? thats going to give a druid a whole what? 10hp at level 60?

15 ac? Yeam, go solo Kormiff Military Leggins or something.

These legs /drumroll /suck

Despite what you may think, the whole game doesn't revolve around druids. These are good for Rangers at least.
RE: These
# Feb 24 2003 at 11:32 AM Rating: Good
uh if yer paying 6k for these for a ranger i have to laugh at you since engraved velium greaves are way better then these. and cost 1/2 that. look better. ranger useable, so the whole range defense kind of caved in =P

First of all, lvl to attain is much higher then 41, Velks is very dangerous only 50+ can atain these leggings. Secondly, the priceing is also wrong for Druzzil Ro anyways, I sell these all the time for 10k

10K? Wow, your ******** someone. I thought the CT server was expensive, I just bought mine for 1k for arms, 2.5k for legs 2k for boots.

10K, haha, that is a good one.

RE: Wrong
# May 29 2002 at 12:06 PM Rating: Decent
they are not 10k on D RO, and i have not seen em that high for some time. i bought mine TODAY for 5k, and saw them sell for 4k 2 days ago. they are good pants and the graphic is nice. these will tide my warrior over until i get something better.
Don't get these
# Feb 02 2002 at 10:51 PM Rating: Default
Only class that should get these, imho, are druids, for ac and mana. Any of the other classes that can use these are MUCH better off with Sebilite Scale Leggings (16ac, +4 STR, +4 WIS, +4 CHA, +2 svp, +2 svf) So they don't look as good, stats are better...plus, Seb Scale are gonna be cheaper than these. CC costs a fortune =P
Just my 2cp

I'm sure I can't speak for all druid out there, but I personaly don't see druids needing AC more than stats, saves, bonus mana and bonus hp. While these are awsome leggings, the only reason I can see a druid wearing a pair of these as opposed to Kommerif Military leggings/Seb Scale leggings/heck even gator scale leggings is for style. High AC items on druids makes as much sense as giving mages haste. While there are technicaly situations where it's useful, you would be "wasting" the potential of this item 95%or more of the time.

If you want a big AC item as a druid, go get a shield of bane warding. Has 25 AC and 20 Wis. Then you can afford to play around with a few slots where you don't need that +5 wis gear any longer.

I am above the 255 wis cap, looking for items for ac/look now..
These would SO fit nicely on my druid.... = )
RE: Don't get these
# May 30 2002 at 1:26 AM Rating: Good
As a 60 DRU with 255 WIS provided by other pieces in my equipment, these attracted me due to their mana. Even though they may not fit you as well as some of the pieces you listed, they do have a place with other druids in other gear/playing/level situations.

But I'd be lieing through my teeth if I didnt say that the beauty of silver plate on a wood elf wasn't a well-loved perk. =)

I'm a Wood Elf and wearing Seb Scale legs. As a ranger, these are the perfect legs until I can afford something much more expensive. In fact, these are excellent Pally/Cleric/Shamman legs as well because they combine high ac and wisdom, as well as strength and some small saves. The charisma doesn't hurt either. Other classes may want to use something else, but these are much more common and therefore much cheaper. I bought my pair for 250pp. I have not even seen a pair of CC legs for sale.

Good for beastlord

Beastlords cannot wear chain, hence 2 classes that these work extremely well for.

These leggings droped today and have an AC of 15 not 9 which makes them very valuable to a druid I believe... also the graphic is pretty neat.
Druids can have a nice metal / plated look with these now!

Can somebody give us an idea on how much these go for instead of arguing about if a rogue should be able to wear it or not?

About 1.5k - 5k per piece of armor. I haven't seen anything (except the circlet) under 2k though. I also haven't seen the chestguard or leggings for sale yet so they might go for more. There are always boots and gauntlets for sale on Luclin server; everytime I check I see both. I've never seen them over 3k. The other pieces are more rare, I gather, because I almost never see them up for sale, so their prices would almost definitely be higher.

Brood Mother
# Apr 21 2001 at 7:13 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, since nobody else has posted the info. This item drops from the Brood Mother, a level 56 named spider in Velketor's Labrynth.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 04 2001 at 8:09 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Brood Mother is in GD and these are dropped in UD and LD groups (D=doggies i.e. Kobold lookin guys)
RE: Brood Mother
# Nov 16 2001 at 7:29 AM Rating: Decent
Ok Rewbix there is Broodmother in GD, this is The Brood Mother. there is a difference you see =0

She spawns deep in Lower Dogs (kobolds) and also has a nother named spider spawn near, The Brood Master which drops the Crystal Chitin BP/Crystal Chitin Circlet.

Crystal Chitin Arm-plates or whatever the name is, they are rogue wearable, I know because I have them on my rogue, they are basically the equivelant to mithril. I am surprised that the legs are not rogue wearable.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 04 2001 at 11:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) No Rogue? Yet every other plate wearing class? Someone else found the generator i see
RE: Rogue
# Mar 05 2001 at 5:57 AM Rating: Decent
Umm, why WOULD a rogue wear this? STA? Mana? err.. yup.. i thought so
RE: Rogue
# May 30 2002 at 10:10 PM Rating: Decent
Rogues don't need STA? Ummm aside from barbarian rogues, MOST rogues can use all the help with stamina they can get. As a half elf rogue, I know my stamina is hurtin. :) I DO think rogues should be able to use these legs. I mean if you can wear the arms, why not the legs? Only makes sense...oh wait. It makes sense, that's why they can't.

Verant > making sense

RE: Rogue
# Nov 16 2001 at 9:41 AM Rating: Default
A rogue would wear this for the same reason they wear most of their armor: AC

At least for barbarian rogues 15+ AC legs are hard to get. I believe there are two 16 ac legs from OS most rogues can wear, but not barbarians.

Some might want them for looks was well :)
RE: Rogue
# Apr 16 2002 at 9:14 PM Rating: Decent
It is just that tanks need ac and rogues aren't tanks. Rogues stab things in the back and in order to do this well they need high atk, not ac/sta. Yes ac is nice, but atk is much much more important.
RE: Rogue
# Mar 04 2001 at 11:31 PM Rating: Default
Man what are some of you people's problems? Just because you personally haven't seen an item doesn't mean it was generated and fake. I've seen most of the items that you people cry fake over...what losers!
RE: Rogue
# Oct 11 2002 at 1:05 AM Rating: Default
Who said they were fake? (O.o)
RE: Rogue
# Mar 05 2001 at 9:31 AM Rating: Good
not to mention he said "No Rogue? Yet every other plate wearing class?" Which implies a Rogue to be a plate class which its not considered to be.

For those who do not know.
Plate classes are Clr/Pal/Sk/War/Brd
Chain classes are Rog/Rng/Shm
Leather classes are Druid/Monk
Cloth classes are Wiz/Enc/Nec/Mag

of course as many know there are items that are exceptions to the rule but thats why many of those are "magic" items
