You won't be finding these puppies in NFP selling so soon...
These things are not even trivial at 250 skill... that means AFTER you max out your tailoring skill... you're STILL failing attempt after attempt. These are practically priceless items, maybe sold to friends and guild members... but don't expect some random Mr. Ub3r to auction these off in the West Commonlands... Trade skills are usually far too role-playing and time consuming for the uber players out there.
I give much credit to the people who bring these skills up, especially those who spent so much time on a skill like tailoring... remember, pelts weren't always stackable...

My monk has no weapons at all, still fighting with hands and feet. Like it so far, and am still doubting I should get weapons. This armor is the armor I eventually want, because I think it's the best. Don't like twinking, think you should do it all on your own. Which means it'll be awhile before I get this armor or maybe never. Good day all. My two cents
These are like an awesome combination of Treant Fists, Gem Inlaid Gauntlets, and Lupine Gauntlets. Also interesting the similarity of the stats to a Dragonbone Bracelet with sells for 3000pp. Very nice item but gonna be hard to find. Hats off to all the persistent tailors who endure failure after failure and lose VERY expensive and hard to come by ingredients in trying to make these items... thanks for all the effort! From what I've heard, even at 4k and 5k prices for Black Pantherskin items, these tailors can still be LOSING money on each item... amazing.
I was wondering what the going price for these are I'm on bertox server. Just a general idea would be nice and why do you people get so distracted about haste effects and other items on every board? =0)
heh what's the trivial level in Pantherskin indeed. Skill level is >200. And if you're an accomplished, maxed out tailor, that means your skill is 115. (unless you are a woodelf or halfling, they can get to 140 i believe) So, this stuff is a 100% pain in the tukus to make.
Requires: Yew leaf Tannin: yew leaf (ground spawn in wakening) + water in a brew barrel Black Panther Skin: Found on Black Panthers in Wakening Lands Pattern Vellium Boning:Large Block of Vellium + Coldain Temper + file
All the Black Panther follows this formula, use the same amount of bonings on a piece that you would to make reinforced leather.
I've tried 12 gloves, 11 failures, cost me a near fortune, and the time of my guild. Skill is now 116. Yakitizma is *supposedly* adding tailoring to allow us non racial tailors get to the levels needed to make this stuff with a semblance of practicality. Hopefully he'll drop the weight too.
don't forget feet too, you can wear cured silk sandals (which are one of our top choices even up to 45 *sulk*) and still flying kick willowisps as you run through the commons
actually your feet never become magical. however every special attack after the standard "kick" you start with is magical.... try it out. do a ergular good old kick on a wisp or ghoul, you'll see :-)
Instill doubt also uses a regular kick at the end to trigger the fear effect. You cannot instill doubt on a mob that requires magic to hit it if you aren't wearing something magic on your feet.
It took me a long time to discover this. Fortunately with the Wu's recipes being added, it's easily fixed now. The skill check used for kick at the end is not the kick skill; you can skill up twice on instill doubt in one instill attempt since a second skill check is done for the kick if the first part of the instill is successful.
Not true. how many people who are twinking a monk nowadays aren't going to give they're newbie a weapon capable of hitting magical things? just my two cents.
