No, this is not a key. This is a generic loot item. The key items are Zlandicar's Talisman, Klandicar's Talisman, Sontalak's Talisman, Yelinak's Talisman, Lendiniara's Talisman, and Shard of Hsraga's Talisman.
yea i soloed Harla Dar...like 5 times, but once i got this talisman, i have a screenshot of me looting it from the Harla Dar corpse. Either its very very very very very rare from harla, or VI made a little mistake in my advantage...anybody know anything about it?
When you get your ST key, do you loose the turn-in piece, or is it returned to you as well as the key? Could someone please explain to me how this will work?

This really kills me, but away it goes cuz both are nodrop. Poor me.
1)the guild you are in will decide how to handle who get's it.
2)if you don't like the way they do it, talk to them and find out why they do it that way
3)untill you are in a guild that can drop him, you don't know how loot is done, there is a different method for each and every guild there is. some are similar, some are different. live with it, it suits them. get over it.
I seriously hope any guild capable of going to DN and actually Killing this guy is also capable of distributing the booty without any question of who deserves it, and its hard to imagine it being very questionable IF it would be used.
this item is not a randomed item, or atleast should NOT be. Talismans from WW of those dragons? thats randomed. This is one hell of a neck item. The fact that it is all/all doesnt mean jack in that. Award items like this through merrit because random is a joke in the high end game, maybe back in the days of lower guk randoms were good but in the high end game if you dont do items by merrit people dont feel proud of themselves, if they dont feel proud they dont play, they dont play you dont kill more mobs. High end items like these should always be handed out as rewards for people. Relying on a lame random number generator in the game engine to determine who loots is basically a terrible leaders way out.

This item gives a hefty bonus to just about every major stat in EQ and usable by every class and race, so it would be equally nice for any member of a guild - it would have to be randomed, period.
Last weekend we were killing in WW and this item dropped off Mraaka a named wurm. I guarantee he is much easier to kill than Zlandicar. Good Luck everyone. Oh and if you think i am making this up go to www.bearcage.net and you can see a pic of Mraaka dead and the talisman on it.
BAH i'd be furious if i was in a guild for over a year and dedicate my entire EQ career to them.. this thing drops it's randomed and some joe schmoe thats been in the guild 3 months wins... you telling me some uber guild will random?! HA either 1) they're dumb 2) they arent that uber to begin with
it's an honor to be given such an item as a token of appreciation for devotion to a guild. not some item to be rolled upon a dice.
This item would never be randomed or the guild that was able to kill zlandicor would suck i am sorry to say. Any guild of this caliber does not use random, but instead has a loot council of some sort, and it is decided who gets to loot it, not randomed. This is the way it should be.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but guilds of this calibur DO random these items. Sure, high guilds do give a lot of items on merit basis, but often times a piece like this would be randomed (whatever). I know for a fact that this would be random, take the guild Ascent on Rodcet Nife. Level 60 guild (must be lvl 60 to even be considered.) They took on the Statue of Rallos Zek in Kael the other day. What did they do with the items he dropped (and severald very nice pieces I might add)? They randommed them, all except one which was given to the only SK or something (it was a one class only no drop item, went to the person by default.) So I don't know what level you are, but guilds of this caliber do random stuff. I'm getting annoyed by all the low people saying that these items are not randomed, because they ARE.
End of rant, nice item, worthy of the challenge :)
A month ago or so on Tunare a cleric was awarded, (not won a random for) a white scale from Vox. This wasn't a random process, and was decided by a loot council. (Long story, but he put in his time, and was always vocal about how he wanted the white scale)
You think that'll ever happen again? Probably not.
Every guild taking down 55+ legendary mobs you can cite that do /randoms I'll cite nine that don't. (Moreover, I'm willing to bet the majority of the guilds doing full random taking on these uber mobs will either A) fold after your citing or B) change their loot policies shortly thereafter)
Citing one example is just ludicrous. The majority of guilds that are in position to take down uber mobs do not under any circumstance use random. Random might be a tool, but the majority either A) use a points system which you accumulate based on raids, which may have a /random factor tossed in B) have a loot council or C) have a leader which functions as B.
Very high end guilds tend to go with A, others prefer combos of B and C.
Why is that so? Look at it this way. A guild is an army in the late game. You might have three premier enchanters in your guild. Well, what if those enchanters are wearing ishva robes, you all raid fear, CT drops a robe of inspiration. Do you give it to the wizard who has a carmine or to one of those enchanters?
These aren't people you will never group with again, this is your army, these are the folks that help determine whether you win or lose against a mob. Putting one of those enchanters in an inspiration will future effect your guild while that enchanter is charm crowd controlling in Kael or ToV. Nine times out of ten, no, ninety nine times out of 100, an even reasonable guild will pass on the inspiration to the thing which will sharpen the guild most or the person who needs it the most because that will help shape the guild and insure that it can continue to prosper and take down nastier and nastier mobs.
With that also under consideration, the loot council is going to give the robe to one of the three enchanters. One has been with the guild and has put in 3 hours a day for months on end, and is always willing to raid somewhere or help on epic mobs, another has pretty sporadic hours and sometimes goes a week without playing, and another is new to the guild.
Who do you think the loot council is going to put it to? Do you think they will have the three of them random like it's lower guk? No, the one who helps the guild the most and is most willing to raid the crap mobs to help guildmates out is the one who is going to get it, because, again, this helps the guild as a whole.
That, in a nutshell, is why "uber guilds" are "uber". Because they make smart decisions on who gets what, not only do people who should get the item get it, but it also insures the future success of the guild, thus allowing them to grow more and more, and end the end become even more "uber."
(On a side note, the word uber and it's immense use in EQ lingo has totally destroyed the value of the word =p)
According to the people I know in Ascent, they actually use DKP. They're just uber enough that Kael raid mobs are considered a walk in the park and nobody is willing to spend points getting drops from there, so it gets randomed basically. Think of it as something of warm up and training raids where everyone wants to save their DKP for VT, the planes and so forth.

Killing one dragon a night is not exactly an uber guild which sounds like what this guild does since it takes forever to random ****. UBER guilds will have either a commitee or the guild leader will decide who gets it. This is done so the guild could go on and kill more **** that night, for instance, an UBER guild will go kill CT, will follow with GORE who may i add is a p*ssy and than finish off the night with a little bit of ToV farming and maybe get a named or two in the process. This is the type of guild who will just hand out items as they drop, not ******* random, randoming is stupid and is a waste of time.

You could play 5 minutes a day and still be a loser...
It's what you DO in that time that determines who get's the loot...
Let's see... Loser has been farming LGuk and ripping off guild mates 16 hours a day and came on a raid with us... Other guy puts in 2 hours a night to help the younger players and help some guildies do their epics and came on the same raid...
/sarcasm on Oh yah, Mr. Loser's gonna win... /sarcasm off
/laugh

so if Zlandicar drops this he drops TWO talisman? I saw a very high lvl monk with "Zlandicar's Talisman". So either he drops 2 talisman or he doesn't drop this one.

It was found by the DEA and downloaded through scripts on the ICL network out of houston. You have to watch feedback loops, they show themselves in the steam and are tuff to detect. If you find the games you will be very very impressed and will never think such things are possible.

Not true. You only need to turn in one dragon talisman for a Sleeper's key. However, 5 dragons do indeed drop a talisman that you can use for the quest.
This item is great for every class. Everyone needs some saves, ac is good for everyone too. The + to stats is great. It's pretty much a neck version of heiro cloak. Which everyone wants. Grats to whoever has this.
It is a NoS whith attitude. Since I am not sure what exactly drops this, I can't be too judgemental about who might be left out of the roll. I think it might mainly depend on what kind of other drops were falling on the raid... ie if several nice tank/hybrid items had already droped might restrict to casters, if all the casters already got something then restrict to tanks. Heck, I would probably just be happy to get in on the raid.
