I tried velium it would appear that velium imbued sapphire is not yet active. As a result of this junk produced however I am not going to waste 350pp trying again. What a waste of time this new imbued jewelry line is!
Can someone explain the religion thing? Do you have to follow Tunare to make it, or wear it, or both? The only use for an item like this is as a quest item. Unless wearing this makes Tunare want to buy you dinner, why bother?
Actually, anyone with sufficient Jewelry skill may use an already imbued gem to make jewelry. However, you do need to be of the proper religion to make use of any religion specific item.
Additionally, as I was researching my spells, I noticed that Enchanters may imbue Fire Opals should they wish to go through the relatively difficult process of obtaining the spell. I have yet to attempt to attain the scroll, and so have never tried to imbue a Fire Opal (Sol Ro), but it makes me wonder if you actually do have to be of a given religion to imbue the gem.
Any further info, specifically as to the restrictions on imbuement, would be appreciated.

There are now many religion based items available in the game, as either loot or made with tradeskills. Only those who worship that religion may USE/WEAR the item, IMBUE the gem, and MAKE the item.
For example, only a druid worshiping Tunare can imbue an emerald, while only a druid of Karana can imbue a plains pebble.
From what I've heard, not only do you need an imbued gem to craft this type of jewelry, but the metal also has to be enchanted. So you need to enchant a gem, enchant the metal, and have the skill to actually craft the item, and after all that, you get a *negative* to stats? That makes no sense.
...Tunares a weak *itch and so are the followers who worship her. Heh. But seriously Tunare is a fair god that possibly permotes physical dexterity and protection over the weak over the merits of physical strength. Anyhow Im sure they gave it those stats for some sort of viable reason. Could be wrong though heh, oh well.

You hate people who want the best things for their character without a negative? You should immediately quit Everquest and go work at the IRS or something. What the heck does a negative str on a ring have anything to do with Roleplaying?
