I've noticed mny of the Blue diamonds Drop in LDoN, they're now selling for alot less and I now make, then sell these earrings at 600pp each.
I just picked up a PAIR of BD earrings for 1300pp--prices are dropping quite a bit now.

Recently there has been an increased demand for blue diamonds, and pricy gems in general because of the requirement for such gems in the crafting of all the new "stuff" out there.

The blue diamonds also drop in Temebrous Mountains. Got one last night off a named Coterie in the castle. Unfortuneately, I don't remember his name.

Blue Diamonds also drop in Sebellis. Mainly from bugs from my past exp.

I'm not sure about the other zones, but Old Seb bugs seem to drop them at a fairly common rate. We alpha looted them for several hours at the NG camp and everyone in the group got one after 3 or so hours.

Yeah, ive been hunting in Sebellis for a while now and ive seen BD's dropping there more than anywhere else ive been. Someone is always auctioning them off there. If u want to get them cheap, id go to sebellis, seem to go for 1k.
You get Blue Diamonds as well from the Queen mother from the swarm that spawns in NK and WC(nk spawn is the one with greater frequency). I usually can sell the BD for about 2 k to chanters that need it for the jewelry..

Where can one get a blue diamond? is it dropped by mobs or sold in vendors or both?

Blue diamonds are mob drop only and found mostly on the planes. Once in a long while you MIGHT see a drop from Trakanon or someone similiar, but mostly just planes drops.
It can also be gotten from the othimir as a quest, But you had better be luckky when you turn in the tusks from the ulthrorks or you'll get junk.
Where is othimir? I'd like to do this quest also so I can try and get some Blue diamonds so the enchanter in our guild can make me some resist gear. And what kind of tusks do you need? Thanks.

Depends on what you consider junk. I've done the quest three times and have gotten:
1. Sapphire necklace (sold to vendor for 140pp, not really junk, but is on the low end reward for this quest)
2. Ruby
3. Blue Diamond (did the quest Amiable with a CHA buff, dunno if that will always make a difference but I'm not going to do it again without the CHA)

1. Diamond
2. Sulphur crystal (also drops from wyverns in cs)used for tunarian ring quest i believe.
3. Sapphire Necklace (around 140pp as well)
Concidering you can sell the tusks for as much as 250pp each to people wanting to do one of the several quests there needed for its just as well to sell em and collect the cash.

this never becomes trival, with a 250 skill there is still a 25% chance of failure =(

Velium and Blue Diamond make a Bracelet rather than an earring. Unlike the other Jewels, Blue Diamond makes a different Slot item with each metal. Silver - Ring; Electrum - Earring; Gold - Veil; Platinum - Tiara; Velium - Bracelet. Each piece has + Mana & + all resistances.
