Dropped last night off of a Protector of Zek, went to the SK who happened to win the lotto on it, though I seriously doubt he'll keep it, being the price on it is so high and there are much better SK only weapons out there that he can trade it for, but nonetheless, he won it fair and square.
Frequency of drop - Not very often...I think there are less than 10 on Nameless (I know of only 5).
Source - Protector of Zek, if you see one of the PoZ (static spawns in a reccessed area in the arena) carying a sword, it just may be your lucky day.
How to pull - Clear the surrounding area and try to chain pull. Will be 3 mobs unless you can manage to split them.
Good Luck! It is a very nice weapon as far as stats go. What's even nicer is that while it looks different than other weapons, it does not look SO different that you get ninja inspected by every melle class in a zone when you enter it (aka: Large Dragonbone Shard *sigh*)
Got one of these last night off of a Protector of Zek. Had to chain pull him with 2 warriors kinda like a FD pull but we get to die for real ;) upon my ressurection I won the roll for this wonderful item. It does sap the stamina but if your over 100 sta its not a big deal you just cant jump after a long fight.
Picture this - wavecrasher in primary, this in secondary. The two weapons are meant for each other. The stamina drop would be horrid, but if you're grouping with a shaman using a good sta buff, especially acumen, that's not an issue. With the stats, especially the 10AC, I know what weapon I dream of using (other than epic of course)
With a delay of 19 could go in offhand very easily for a warrior. and stamina wont drain as bad as a wurm drains stamina. I have a GJB already , this would be a great complimentry weapon for me. I saw one for sale in the dreadlands. Seller wouldnt give me a price on it though. I'am thinking around 20k pp for this puppy. Anyone have any other thoughts on the value of this? Artic Frostbyte 47th warrior
20k? More like 30+ This has that magical property of AC, and adds 10 at that. I would not be surprised if it was 40k. The only drawback is the weight, and that is inconsequential given the rest of the stats.
Depends on what server your on, but people need to realize this is a "Crap Drop". Now let me define crap drop: An item thats uberness does not reflect the difficulty to attain. Yes its rare and drops off a tough mob in Kael. This is a great item but people will overcharge cause of thier difficulty, but lets get real 30k? Just speaking From Thollux hope anyone who has one of these isnt trying to charge more than 20k for it cause thats silly. Ive got a Venomous Axe of the Vellium Brood 11 24 10ac proc 85poison DD and knockback, look it up its pretty uber, And theyre only going for 15k. Just want to keep price from overinflating due to hype.
Who the hell lets anyone roll on such item's anyways > Item drops wich are so good need to be awarded by the guilds Loot God > Rolling on items is lame, especially on raids.

There have been many items that have damage and AC (starting with that nice sword we looted in Dalnir), and the AC is always after the DMG on the same line.
Since a 10 string discussion on the weapon was posted under "what drops it" with everything about it EXCEPT what drops it, I figured it might merit another posting! How about sticking to a subject folks?
I would much rather get one of these then those damn Lamentations that people go so nuts after. I hope this this looks nice when wielded, and not a damn Sheer Blade like the picture suggests. Perhaps like a Swordbreaker... Then again, this and a Lamentation or Jade Mace would be nice ownage :)
Lamentations should drop in price once people start farming these (and dont tell me they wont, every item in EQ gets farmed at one point or another)
Ya this thing is definetly for bards, for a lot of reasons. We don't swing as much, so our sta wouldn't drop as much as someone with doube attack like warriors. Plus, even if our sta did drop, we could just pop on one of our many sta regen songs or click on our Singing Steel Arms for a quick invigor. A bard who wields this with a BoH would be awesome, because to me this thing out does a Sion Partisan due to the stats.
Why would this be only a bard item? STA: Give us melee people more HP. DEX: We want a better chance to hit and have our weapons proc. So saying this is mainly a bard weapon is just stupid. I don't think I will see a SK or pally using this, but it is still a really good weapon for any melee.
I think you'll find alot of warriors and rangers using this as part of a pair of weapons theyre duel wielding. personally I use this and a frostbringer, the extra 17 ac from my weapons is awesome. I'm up to 835 at level 37 and I'm only a dwarf.

So this weapon will make your stamina drop like a 2cp *****. So next time dont be critical of others when you yourself obviously dont know what er talken about.
For your information... I used to use a Wurmslayer (that's 15 wt with 40 dly) and it made my yellow bar drop pretty fast. However, i never noticed any difference. I never timed my attack speed, but it looked about the same, and all my stats remained at their normal levels.
I have heard that if your stamina is over 105 you have no ill effect from being out of fatigue.
I cant verify the statement of no ill effects w/ higher then 105 sta, but i can tell you that i notice an effect when dual-wielding a harpoon of the depths (8/25 2dex 20hp 6wt) and a walrus tooth (6/23 3str 6sta 5wt) as the stamina from the tooth brings me from 85 to 91. the bar drops but about 10-15% slower then with a weapon without stamina. im going to buy a couple of stamina items to get my sta over 105 next time i am in EC and try out your theory :)

This weapon isnt all that. Aye the starts are great, but the 5 wt will kill you. And im not talking about encumberance, with a 19 delay and 5 wt someone will just about have to chain cast invigor to keep you swinging at full speed. Best for bards Id say, as they dont swing as much, and can regen sta on thier own without much hastle.
By the time most people could legitmately get this, shouldnt they have some sort of armor that replenishes stamina? And if they dont where is their cleric or paladin that can cast it on them, or a bard that can sing the stamina song. Hell, even the 3rd level bard song would work :P
Yeah, they crazy alright...me being a 45 ranger would LOVE to set this along side my Wurmslayer, besides my darn Yak weighs 4.5 so big woop!...the fact that a Ranger can cast Invigor on him/herself (yeah that right suckas!) this weapons AC with a WS would add 25 RAW AC and the fact that a Ranger gets AC bonuses would prolly make it more like 30-35 AC...any weapon that adds that much AC in my book belongs in the hands of a Ranger...not that I even care whether one weapon is meant for one class or another, all you rangers out there best be looking to add this weapon to your collection at some point and time...and another thing about STAMINA...it DOES slow your attack speed as you land on your last couple bars of it...check it out and you'll see for yourself...if anyone out there thinks that the only problem is that you can't jump...try again. Having a 105 stamina (or whatever for that matter over 100) just gives you more time before your STA runs out...
