Yes, it still drops, and is live on progression servers in-era. Has been seen for sale on Phinny server at least (Velk's was semi-nerfed partly through Velious on this server, so may need confirmation on future progression servers).
Item remains quite useful to a lowbie rogue as it procs low level, when the rune effect is impactful. Also, on progression the +str part of the effect can be useful too.

Super nice twink item with copper hammer of striking , free rune + 20STR buff , with copper hammer's 200DD rocks all from lv1 to lv20
Was goin' off like crazy for my level 1... Seems to proc at any level, and goes off fairly often with 100+ DEX.

There are those bellow that will say what they will. But got news for you. This is a fun toy with nice grafix, stats, and a proc. Not bad at all. My rogue loves his.

I just picked this up for my rogue who was level 5 at the time, and I noticed a big difference. He is somewhat twinked with a pair of cougar claw earrings and SCHW, and this weapon procced like crazy. I solo'ed a yellow con as soon as I got it, the weapon procced 5 times, nice little item to have as I picked it up for 3k. I am not sure why other people are bashing this weapon (but I really can't say for sure how good it is as I do not have backstab yet), but at the moment this weapon seems like a keeper to me.

got this for 2.4k on Rodcet Nife, pc's at 6k also. got nice proc, though unless fighting low blues it barely absorbs one hit in 40's, and the add to str is a nice BS add.
I want 1 of these SO bad, lol, but what good Rogue doesn't? Hey, i'm trying to save up and get enough good equip to try to trade for 1 of em, send me a tell.

Not sure if this is new or not but I noticed a few patches ago Verant seems to have added damage absorbing skin to the proc. I believe it starts procing at level 1 not sure on this but I know it procs by level 15. with a dex of 115 it procs like mad. Very nice twinking weapon due to the damage absorbing skin.
Bad news is if you really wanted that +20 str you best not get hit… lol

Just got mine a couple nights ago. I traded my locustlure and a crystal chitin shield for it. Now I know that's a lot of pp worth of stuff, but I was so damn tired of my locustlure, every time it proc'ed the mob was on me. Kinda sad, considering how excited I was to get it in the first place. Now I got this baby, and it looks so cool. I'll admit the proc kinda sucks, since the strength bonus is not stackable, but hey, I sure look like a badass :)

First off this weapon has a better damage ratio then the blood point. 2.25 sr to 2.1 bp , I would rather get hit for 60 Damage then 120 , I would rather have 10+ str and proc of +20 str for Lots of attack added to my main that is my Ragebringer. Bigger backstabs better melee damage.
Dude you are totally confused about ratio, you want a LOWER ratio...delay/damage, you want a low delay and high damage. Without going into the actually division, lets look at this simply.
And you also want a high damage higher delay weapon for offhand since it doesn't receive the damage bonus. Even if you had a weapon with 2 damage, if your damage bonus is 9 if you hit you won't hit below 9. So a low delay lower damage weapon is good for mainhand...except for rogues, who need high damage weapons in mainhand too.
But if you are a rogue also, higher delay weapons are nice for low taunt. This won't matter however if your warrior has fast weapons. Rogues are the exception to the rules.
Besides siphon blows this thing out of the water, 80 damage and 80 HP gain is much better than a dumb proc that gets overwritten by str buffs.
To the guy who said what good rogue doesn't want this? The answer: me, or anyone else who is 50+ (not trying to be snobbish but bloodpoint procs at 50)
