Glowing Velium Axe  

 

ok im makin a kinda twinked zerker(got my new account YAY) anyone know the dmg output of this? how much can i frenzy wit it also?

i was watching coldain war and i lost my brain and started looting giants an i got one for my paly

In the links to get here, the Drachnid Retainer is listed as one of the creatures that drop this. Can anyone confirm this? I've just arrived in CC and have only killed Spiders and Orcs so far.

I already have this axe though, got it with my Rogue (backstabbed a bunch of giants for it) and gave it to my Iks SK. I love the fact that it glows, thus clearing an inventory slot of the everpresent GLS.

drops of one of the named spiders in the queens room of crystal caverns. Off hand i would guess a group of 40 ish players could do this with the right pull method.Would not attempt to go to CC until lvl 33 min. Invis is almost a must if you want to get to queens room anytime soon. The orcs that roam and static pop are minimum 1k hp and hit pretty hard and fast. Some orcs are casters and will buff heal others along the way.
Queens room is pretty heavily camped so a camp check is advisable. Other than queens room loot is so-so.
This is a dungen so if you want sow better get it before you come in as it cant be cast later
Ramps are iced over and narrow if you are a large class advis shrink potion

lev is good to have here as well as a saftey for pullers if pulling around the ramps.

Dwarves have a city down at the bottom but generally will not sell or trade with you and as far as i know there is no way yet to raise faction

Would advise going to the beastiary here and looking up all mobs before going in so you get an isea of what you will be facing.

Well i jsut looted one of these the other day in GD, it was an event (the giants attacked the little folks and such)Well these things dropped like flies and i got one. Id say 500-600pp is fair, i wouldnt pay 1cp for it (but im a druid), however it is a damn fine looking weapon if i do say so. Today i was in gd and a guildmate asked me to buff him some at the tizzie caves, so i go there to buff him and hes wielding a bibs. Need i tell you i ran to the bank and got this thing and gave it to him (looks great on a warrior with a full set of crafted). This thing makes an exe axe look like a fork, i was scared when i saw the giants wielding them. Well just my thoughts, stats arent that bad and im still wearing a bcp for the looks so you could bet if i ever start a warrior ill be getting one of these.

I was given this fine weapon as a gift from a guildie when i was but 10. I have used this axe since then up to my current level of 16. I am asked without fail each time I group with strangers as to what it is and could they look at it. The menacing look combined with the translucent blade and glowing effect from the lightsource make it special. The stats are admirable although not fantastic. I can hit consistently for 28-30 damage and have average crits of 55-60. My highest crit with this axe was a 95 which pissed of the mob so much that I died for it. A warrior 6 levels higher than I could not taunt it off me (the mob was at least 6 levels higher as well ). I am curious to see what damage this does with the damage cap removed once I hit lvl 20. Worth 1k? probably not on the open market but to someone who just has to have the coolest looking axe in the neighborhood it might be. I think the nicest part of the axe besides the look is the weight. Coming at only 4 it is easier on the arms and makes up for the outrageous weight of my Straw Spun Belt.

I bought mine for 800pp on The Rathe, and i'm constantly asked and looked at when it is equipped. More than that is its weight! Look its only 4! I can hack stuff all day with this. Weighs less that a Yak which is 1 handed. It also acts as a Greater Lightstone. 5 stamina means more Hit Points as well. It doesn't proc or have outrageous stats, but the Look and the Weight make up for it. I will definatly be increasing my 2hs skills with this beautiful weapon for a long while. why in the world is this item 1k? its basically a runic carver with stamina. it better look like a exe axe / jade reaver because its stats certainly are not worth 1k.
