mog a 12/29 piercer.... you know that a sturdy grimling mining pick is a 12/29 and its not lore and you can camp one from the grimling caves in tenebrous mts in like 10 min or you can get one in baz for like 20pp.

This is a magic weapon with a proc tho, grimling pick isn't magic, if you are looking for one on basis of dmg this would be better since it procs a DD. just a little info.
Beastlords can now use this item. I'm excited about that because I use both Piercing and Hand to Hand.
It's a bit disappointing to hear that this procs at 45 though. Fireclaws proc at 37 and they have a 75 DD fire spell.

This is a late post but, fire procs are easier resisted by mobs for the most part than ice/cold procs. Because of this,this shard will probably hit more often when it procs than the 75dd on fireclaw talons.

This weapon started procing for me at random intervals in combat at level 45. the 60pt DD is a really nice effect.
There seems to be many more questions than facts about this item. If i had info on it, id post it. But i would like to know when it procs :) If anyone is reading this and has info, plz post all u know. Thx everyone.
Where in icewell does it drop, who drops it, and how hard is this mob?

look Grats for those of you real rogues who understand how evade works a thus can ALWAYS use it to evade off ANY mob, i look forward to playing with a few more Competent Rogues on the Inny server... as for the rest of you twinked out ignorant peeps, im a funloving rogue who worked for every earing and pigsticker ive ever gotten, but twinking is ok IMO, just learn how to play your class Before you go crazy With the FBSS, Fungus Covered Scale Tunic, Bloodpoint and the like, Do me a favor? Also as long as the proc doesnt work....thats 45 lvl's people this thing is great.
I truely hope this is a typo. Lvl 3 backstab? Uh, I think NOT, considering rogues can't backstab until lvl 10. And if by chance he meant 13, a 59dmg BS at 13 sucks for this weapon. I have a new rogue who just hit 13, carries an 8dmg weapon (Serrated Bone Dirk) and is hitting for max 62 with a skill of only 34 in BS. Why do peeps feel a need to post bull$h1t... wish there was a filter to skip all Anonymous posts... /shrug
Time to kill some more Dervs so I can afford to put my 2cp in on another post =~)

this is a great weapon from about 25- till you get a weapon with better damage (probaly not till 50s). i got this sucker for 5k. now thats what i call a weapon ;)

Better weapons drop, that are cheaper then this. Just because someone posts it first at 15K doesnt mean its worth it. Its a pretty dagger, with decent stats but for this price im looking else where.

Just got this for like 10k in items, the twink rogue thought he was getting a deal, but wait until he tries to sell all that crap =) Anyways, procs aren't bad at all. Also you rogue twinkers out there, good luck on getting a trak tooth for their secondary weapon, they're primary only.

I wanna know when this weapon procs.
Actually, procs at 46. I thought it was 45 and was a bit disappointed. I dinged 46 not too long ago, and have been proc'ing for 60hp on most mobs that aren't resistant to cold...
With my Dexterity at 153 and hasted 18%, I have proc'd up to three times in a fight. Mind you, I have also NOT proc'd in a fight...

Im a 40 Rogue on 7th, I BS for 235with this unbuffed....now I figure crackin some mob in the back of the head for 235 is gonna taunt his *** on me SO whats an extra 60DD? =) I am however gonna replace it with my ragebringer when I get it and possibly a bloodpoint or a traktooth in offhand. If your a rogue who knows what your doin, this weapon rocks. Nuff said.

I have one of the shard weapon thingy...Im a lvl 15 rogue and I do 80 dmg on my backstab hehe...:) I rulez!

Enchanters, of all the pure casters, are most likely to 'get their hands dirty' if your not sure why an enchanter would be in melee range maybe you should go back to UO or something...but alas they can't use this...
As a rogue, I'm thinking this is an amazing weapon, 29/12 is a good ratio AND the 12 damage has to make for some decent backstabs. Rogues seem to think that low delay weapons are god but procs are a sin though I'd have to say that, having played a ranger, low delay weapons are just as bad for aggro as procs are and if you can live with one you can live with the other. Seems to me that my rogue gets hit based mostly on the ability of the tank standing across from me to figure out <target that mob beating the rogue, press taunt, let a couple hits go off, bash or kick it for good measure> more than my ability to evade and I'm using a 32/9 in primary and a 20/3 in offhand which isn't exactly uberdamage.

i bought this for my dark elf rogue when he dinged 13 and got dual wield. first off, this thing looks cool as hell. yeah it's a bit slow at 29 (and no i don't have any haste items yet), but from 13 to 30 was a breeze with this in main and crystalline spider fang in offhand. at 30 with 132str 116dex and b/s skill of 109, i was diggin the spines outta mobs in LDoN for 129points at a shot. this is WELL worth the 200pp i paid for it in the Bazaar on Lanys. i'll prolly replace with Veterans Dagger (if it looks cool)[slave to fashion] 'cause it's faster and i wanna keep /evade high and get a few ripostes in. i think veterans is 23/12 but at 30 it'll be 23/10 or 23/11.
remember if i wanted to only be a stat freak i would still have a halfling rogue. i like to look good when i rip your bowels out and steal your cash - that's why i play a dark elf.
