It took about 5 hours for the bracer to drop from the golems near the east wing zone exit. It's a painfully long camp but the item does drop eventually.
Cleared the east wing ~10-12 times all the way to the OT zone out and back. There are static spawns for golems, but I also found that they can spawn in other places. Dropped somewhere between my 10th and 12th clear.
Took me around 20 hours killing near the zone out. I highly recommend getting your 1.5 at 65, then using it to level to 70 via these 2.0 pieces. This would be an absurdly tedious camp if everything was grey.
Expect to kill between 350-550 golems before you see a drop, or around your 3rd superstitious drop-rate ritual.
You would think ins 2019 this piece would be easy to get, but it's not. It's only drops off the mortiferous golems (not the zone in golems). It only takes a min to clear the east wing, but I found myself spending 4 hours last night repeatdedly clearing with no drop. Finally, this morning, I finally got it on the second clear.
2 full days of camping the east wing and finally got it to drop. Levitate over and the door is not locked. I cleared the whole wing every 10 minutes to ensure more chances of golem spawns. I think this item was intended to be a long camp to slow people down on the epic. There's really no other explanation. Collected tons of Flawed Defiant, some cool clickies like infravision and mezz, 2648 copper, and 689 bone chips :)
I didnt quite have it as bad as everyone else, spent 4 hours clearing for it. It does still drop, and its rare as can be. Goodluck other SK's getting it..
Did this years ago on FV. Then once more on each progression server. Now I'm trying out Vox and sitting in Howling Stones with the bracer standing between my 2.0 for the fourth time.
Got the bracer dropped from a golem at side-H room, 2014/6/25(Wed) The rarity is not rare, it's Ultra Rare. After 2 days killing, I can't remember how many golems I've killed or how many rounds I've cleaned at east wing. All I know is when I aiirved at Howling Stones (Charasis), I was level 69 + 10% And when I left, I was level 69 + 95%, almost 70 (mobs are still green at 69)
My comment: 1. Start epic 1.5 or 2.0 as early as possible if you want it, 65 might be the most appropriate level Since you can still get xp while farming these quest drops. (leveling while you are doing epic) Or when the mobs go grey, it'll be as boring as hell.
BTW, the 2.0 can also start from below 70 (I guess it's 65 or even no level requirement) However, epic 2.0 itself need level 70 to equip though
2. Ready as many bag/inventory slots as possible when you are going to farming this bracer, it's gonna be a long camp with lots of loot.
Mindlessly killing golems in the east wing, for about 7 hours. Finally I get my drop in the room that looks like an H on it's side. Well there were two more golems still up in there so I figured what the hell. I got another one to drop right after I got mine. *middle finger @ SoE*
When you enter Howling Stones an easy way to get across the false steps to the east is to go up the adjacent steps and jump up on the fire pot right next to the door to gain an extra few feet of height. Then levi across to the east door platform this makes it a piece of cake to access the east side and get to the zone out a lot quicker
Started my second SK on the Zek server. I've been camping the bracer in Howling Stones. I've noticed the Mortiferous golems keep changing into a Dungeon Rot infected. I was curious if this has any impact on the already crappy drop rate for the SK 2.0 bracer.

Getting to the section of the zone that this drops in is a PITA. There are two possible ways. First you will need an accurate map as there are hidden doors behind walls.
There is one locked door. That can be overcome by standing against the door tight, donning an illusion and pushing through the door. Mounts will not work here.
Once you are in the center under the pavilion and surrounded by the drop through area, you are at the most difficult travel point and where you will make a choice of routes.
The most direct route is east but you have to get beyond the fake stairs that drop you down to the bottom. If you drop, just go all the way down and step across the port platform in the center of the lower pavilion and you will be ported back up to the top.
For this option, you need to be fast and levitated. Go to the south stairs and climb up on top of one of the fire stanchions. Make sure you are as high as you can get. Then run as fast as possible to the east stairs trying to keep from dropping. Run in an L shape staying as close as possible to the pavilion roof. This will help keep you from dropping as fast since you will be over the walkway as much as possible and not over open space which causes you to drop faster. This works about 1 time out of 4 in my experience so keep trying.
The second option requires following the southern stairs through the map to the only irregularly shaped tunnel (www.mapfiend.net maps) on the map. The entrance to that tunnel requires walking through a wall. Follow that way around the map and you will end up behind the east platform that you were trying to reach with levitate.
The Bracer dropped twice in an hour for me in the room that looks like an H laying on its side. Since getting there requires going through a couple of one way doors, gate or port out or go to the room all the way to the east. The port out is located at the end of all of the rooms.
6 hours latter and no drop.... I guess I was wrong when i thought this was going to be shorter than the SK 1.5(I was SOOOOO wrong). I now know why they call it EPIC(PITA). But hey they call the game EVER-QUEST for a reason. I think I found it. Bring it I'm getting HELLA twink gear for my LVL 6 druid. I just wish I was getting XP for all these kills. OH well it will drop when it drops.... Till than I shall cry. Ok it sounded good. ROFLMAO
Glad to see you got it! I just read some of the nightmare post below. I hope no one kills me when I say that I was with a guild group a few years ago when the new epics had just come out, and I was actually no where close to being able to use this item. My group leader and guild leader told me to loot it when it dropped miraculously dropped off the first mort golem we killed in west. I had no idea what it was for, but I kept it until that glorious day in which I figured out what it was for and used it. There is hope out there! Unfortunately, a great deal of the time, the things you want most are just dumb luck that you get them.
I've been camping the mortiferous golems for 4 days now and nothing.. SOE, you suck!
Finally got this after 11 days camping... SOE could up the drop rate a little since these quests are so old now... So others don't have the headache I had with this part..
