Useless? Are you a MT for your guild? if not then stfu. It's useful for yourself, groupies, and raids. Even if your not MT on anything then be usefull and back up a cleric or something just cause its 5 seconds doesnt mean u cant get a blessing to reduce cast time. Healing spells are always useful.

If you're casting while fighting, you wouldn't use a 5 second cast heal, you would use a fast heal.
What I don't understand is how come each new 'bigger' heal isn't more mana efficient than the last? That seems to be the main reason you would use it, considering you really only use it during down time.
Soloing I'm using hots instead, since the cast time is quicker. The only time I would use this is if it was more mana efficient, which it isn't.
If you have spell haste 5, this spell becomes more useful in combat, although hots and fast heals are much more useful.
