Yes. Rare, but yes. Got a bunch in Kod'Taz while farming for the zerker 1.5.

I spend several hours in Old Bloodfields and got none.
In Kod'Taz I got one from the 1st mob I killed.
I wanted to know if I was just lucky so I kept killing there for a bit.
Got 2 more in 10 mins.

IDK why but mobs are pretty tough in here. I am able to solo (w/tank merc) most of em (i'm 71 shaman) but these suckers hit HARD. Haven't seen a sample yet though...

Dropped in Kod'Taz off a mastruq battlebrute
Apparantly they didn't think about toon levels and ingredient availability when they put together the trophy tasks. This is also required for the Freshman Research Test. Anyone around this level can't possibly get this ingredient. Most people at this level of research is in the 40s or lower and with it running 3-5k in the bazaar they can't afford it either. So put simply, this is out of reach and needs to be redone.
It is also required in the spell research trophy, journeyman level. Joy, eh?

While it seems a little stupid to require some thing that requires a high level raid, this is needed for the Journeyman level research torphy!!!
No need for a raid. The Ikaav in KT can be easily solo'ed as they are casters. Anything else can be easily trio'ed, except maybe the Ixt, which might take a full group depending on gear.
This just dropped off of an Ikaav for me. Easy kill. just root and nuke. Now if only it would drop a tounge.
