Hello folks,

Came upon this spider yesterday evening, and was able to solo it... but not any 57 could do it i guess (have a look at my profile, just don't try it if you are not at least this level-HP/AC aa's).
Very tough fight, suck all my mana pool, and nearly got me (didn't have to use LH, but was close)...
Hits in the Upper 100's lower 200's (this with 1430 AC and CA3+CS3), quite fast, stuns and summons, so be prepared for a good fight!
Was quite surpised in fact, didn't expected a mob that tough on the ground, and the good part was the 2 earrings it dropped... Just looted one, and send an ooc for the other one...
Hopes this helps, will camp my alts in velks for next time i meet her!

The Fierce Blizzard Hunter spawns on the ground floor in the BR. As you face the two Ice statues on the ground floor at the bottom of the ramp going in. Either invis up or fight in. I would recommend fighting in. You go straight back in between those two statues, over the snow bank (not a boulder) and over the ice patch straight back.

Once all the way back you will see the BR (Back Room) break into two areas. Spiders on the left and spiders on the right. There are 3 spiders to your right. Turn to your right and face the 3 spiders. The spider on the farthest left in the corner is the PH.

Fierce will always drop two items. Mostly 2 helms. Uncommon 1 helm 1 ear. Rare 2 ears (yes 2). He hits rather hard, but a 65 Cleric / 65 Paladin combo can box him. At the time I think my pally had around 6k hp buffed.

I am sure now at level 70 with 10khp I could probably solo him.

AS FOR YOU FRIGGIN MORONS who continually argue over whose ear this best is. ITS ALL/ALL NO DROP. Anyone can go camp one, get off your ***** and get one.

look guys any caster or cleric can use this item but so can any tank it has cha that is nuthin
that u cant find in the bazz what is hard to find is a ear with decent ac warriors can use this just as much as any caster noone has priority on this item as a 67 cleric (104aa) i have been denied items with foci like mana pres and extended enhancement lol cuz it had haste and warriors evidently need haste HAHAHAHAHA haste dont effect a warr in a raid they dont do enough dps to need haste i could see if it effected taunt or summat frekin tanks only need hp/ac but i am drunk and rambling that is my 2cp
Cleric Friendly Item

Reading the previous posts, seems people forget that the pacify line of cleric and paladin spells hold a component of charisma. Mobs get 2 saves on pacify, 1 to resist spell, then 1 to determine if mob aggroes on caster (rolled against casters charima), so charisma isnt wasted on these classes. Putting charisma aside, this item is a great wisdom caster item due to ac, wis and mana. My froggy cleric is a proud owner of this earring and will likely wear it for a while. My 2cp

people are idiots try to mez a mob post lvl 60 with 60 charisma and see how long it takes to return to ur bind spot. bards and enchanters make best use of charisma..bottom line..other classes need a charisma buff come see me.

This has +60 Endurance on it as well.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 10 2004 at 8:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have one on my SK. The stats are excellent for that if you aren't a super-uber character that's twinked better than most people's main chars. the int/wis boost is nice for any kind of caster, the hp's and mana are great for any class, and the CHA is ditto for anyone, especially "shady" classes (vendors won't even open shop if you have a low charisma and are a rogue or something similar) or those who charm regularly.

VERY good for bards too. Chanters arnt the only ones who use CHA as a very important casting stat. I was on a LDoN run in MMC and the group wouldnt let me roll on the TWO cha augments because "it's a caster stat" so the Cleric got them for some reason. For those who do not know a bard's fizzle rate, Charm, and Mezz are all VERY dependant on CHA.

Bah Charisma is a Warrior stat. Charisma has very little effect on charm and mezz. However if you are a tank hoping that DI goes off on a god mob that can 1 round you, Charisma is very important.

None the less, everyone can use lower prices. When I run adventure everyone can roll for everything. If I see a warrior rolling on int and wis items they don't get invited to next adventure. However, they helped kill the mob, they can roll on anything that gets dropped.

'Fair' does not exist. Being consistant and quick is all that matters for me in loot. There is nothing worse than peeps ******** about the small stuff, when you should continue plowing. If peeps roll on crap they should not have, don't group with them again.

Phil, you've got things backwards. Charisma doesn't affect anything at all except for prices with vendors, the charm spells that several classes get, and a few other spells/songs that enchanters and bards use, like mes. It doesn't affect fear or taunt or intimidation or anything else. Necros, shamans, and druids need charisma for their singular charm spell, if they ever use it. Otherwise bards and enchanters are the only classes in the game who need charisma for anything except vendor prices.

Actually, philomath is correct in what he said.

The charisma of the person that the spell divine intervention IS CAST on, has an effect on the % chance of the death save being successful.

So, since the Warrior is most likely going to be the one to fall, in a fight like that, having higher charisma can be useful.

Of course, since the stats on this earring aren't melee stats, except for the HP, its still not a warrior earring.

But warriors CAN use charisma, for that ONE purpose, and of course for better prices.

Funny, 10AC and 50HP sounds like warrior stats to me. My perpetually broke warrior camped one because it's probably the best earring you can loot from a level 52 or under mob.

If you're uber - no this earring isn't for you. There are certainly better earrings out there for warriors, but expect to pay thousands (and tens of thousands) of plat for them. But if you're a 50 warrior and wondering how to upgrade your Cougar Claw or Orc Fang earring, this certainly ain't shabby.

Of course, the caster or hybrid in your group might beat you silly for wanting it...
