Note that dying this blue the old fashioned way won't make it the same color as lambent, hehe. Instead you get a light greenish blue, but not bright like with singing steel. Not a bad color, but if you want to color match this, get LoY dye instead. Lambent is 1r, 1g, 200b.

I am a smith, and have a skill over 200. I sell FP for 10pp per AC. This is a common price guide on Terris-Thule. If you have a hard time getting the items you like at a fair price just contact Shanter for Medium sized FP. I'll make Large or Small, but you have to bring your own Plate Molds, and take the risk of a failure on the mold.
I remind you, that I would still be taking the risk of loosing up to 60pp worth of folded MQ sheets of metal.

what do you need to make this item. And what skill lvl do you need to?
This item can be made with a decent chance of success with a skill of about 180. My skill is currently 179 and I average better than 50% on most pieces. To make a Fine Plate Vambraces you'll need:
2 Medium Quality Folded Sheets
1 Smithy Hammer (not consumed)
1 Leather Padding
1 Water
1 Plate Vambraces Mold

Note on subcombines:
MQ Folded sheet= block of medium quality ore, flask of water, smithy hammer (hammer returned, succed or fail. Trivial at 36 smithing).
Leather padding= lq wolf, cat, or bear pelt; silk thread (trivial 31 tailoring).
Silk thread= 2 spiderling silks (trivial 15 tailoring, no fail combine).
So shopping list for this item, broken down to most basic components, is:
