Is this emblem only for a key to PoTactics or is this quest actually needed for flag progression?
This is a KEY for PoTactics for exp only, you still need to do your PoJ trial to go there as part of planar progression.
PoJ trial is for PoV/PoS access. The full flag for tactics comes from killing Manetic Behemoth in PoI.

Ok, so if you have all the other flags you need.. but do not have MB, can you still get the flag for the Zek's? From all the access charts i see, it doesn't say you HAVE to have MB.
Problem is too many enchanters have quit and killing MB on my server has become a near imposilbity. =(

Once this is on your keyring, any reason to keep it?
Zone in once to Tactics, then you can destroy this. You may be able to destroy it before zoning in, but I wouldn't take the chance if you want the free AA from the dwarf in PoK.
