The race restrictions seem to be centered around those with human blood in them but if that's true, then shouldn't Barbarians also be restricted from using this as they are just the bigger, stronger cousins of humans?

It just depends at what lvl you got it, I bought it for 100pp on my server for my cler 29 (170 wis actually and not twinked) and i'm very happy with it. Wis or Int gear for back slot are not the easiest to find, and even if 2 int/wis is not a lot, it s still ok when you want to fill most of your slots with wis and ac gear. And 10 SvFire is very nice too.

I wouldn't call it crappy. It isn't something I'd wear all the time, but for fighting Eejag or Faydedar and the like, this is a nice piece of resist gear. I like mine :)
My troll beastlord loves it, because it gives him wis AND fire resistance, both things trolls have very little of, hehe.

I'd say this item is more likely a common drop rather than an "uncommon" one. I've seen 6 drop in the last 2 days I've been fighting in KC. They're common enough that neither groups that had them drop rolled on them. Curses to LORE. Guess I'll just sell to a merchy and go back fer some more :)

Just got the point where I was hunting KC when I got this cloak as a drop. I was tickled. Here I am a level 49 Enc (at the time) and still wearing a cloak of the icebear. Finally something with INT for my back. But lo and behold...Only Large and Small Races...no Erudites, Humans, Half-elves...Totally upset my plans for world domination...
So still here I am with drops from Maiden's Eye and The Hole on me, but still I wear a stinking Cold Cloak I got by accident 20 levels ago when that darn barb decided he didn't like Erudites...>sigh<

I was reading that and I started to think of "Tommy Boy". 'Fat man in a little coat' 
I mean if the little races can wear, and most the mid races, PLUS the large races, heh, what's wrong with the halfelves, humans and erudites donning this? Who goes to the tailor after looting this, the halfling or the troll ??? Just funny is all . I do understand that all the races that can wear this could be considered magic beings, so no non humans.

Barabarians can now wear these. Not sure why they can but humans still can't.

Looks like they added in the Beastlord Races. Probably another mistake along the lines of that which made Vox bracers Iksar usable...
bought one for 200pp, nice cloak.

Trying to buy/sell things on these forums is pretty pointless. You would have a 1000x better chance of getting an item by auctioning for it on your own server. You DO realize there are several servers, right? There is probably a "Naxon" on every one. :P

This item should be more like common..Seems like 3 out of the 5 Spectral Librarians we killed while camping and pulling to fountain dropped the Cloak..We all also got Ransacker Packs, 1 spirit tome, a Kunzar Mantle and that Spectral Shield..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

Yeah, However, human druids get the crystal covered shroud for a chest item, which is awesome. It all basically evens out. get yourself a molten cloak instead, and your way ahead of the poor elf or halfling in their foreman's tunic and kunzar cloak.
I don't think they were complaining about not being able to wear it, but rather that it showed up under a search for human druid items when it's NOT a human druid item... Just what i got from the post.

Pretty happy about this, just bought it for 90 plat on Xev. As a shammy its pretty decent, low ac but i think the fire sv and wis make up for it. Sure beats banded anyway.

Sad part is that only a damned iksar monk can wear it. Human monks got shafted here it seems. It just goes to show ya that again we have to watch for the all/all crap to see if we too can wear it since alot of our stuff isn't great.
You guys get a lot of stuff that ikky's can't wear either.

This cloak is ok but the best bit about it is the AC+7 SvFire+10... it's hard to find decent Vox/Naggy raid gear which drops regularly and doesn't destroy your AC. This is one of those items :)
I haven't spent much time in Kaesora, but I've seen four of these drop in KC in only one week of hunting there.
