And yes, this effect will stick on any level player, can give a lvl 3 ranger 60% haste + 50str + 50atk, makes bard PL'ing that much quicker... stuff to do when bored, I suppose.
BS!!!! this is fare from Common drop, this sword hasnt droppede in 6 PoTimes raids right after each other... dont set your nose up for the common drop, thats a big lie
This thing is pretty freakin sweet and has the coolest graphic I've yet seen for any weapon. My question is this. This is a singing modifier. Does that mean if I play Selo's without a percussion instrument equipped that the singing modifier on this weapon will kick in?
The effect isn't actually a song, it doesn't go in the short buff bar. This proc will overwrite the Bard epic proc, Siren Song proc, and Natures Melody proc.
The haste would apply if it was he highest type I haste on you. (will stack with types II & III) The str bonus will always stack. The atk bonus will always stack.
Yes, although as to what version of bard song haste I have been having trouble locking down exactly. My assumption is that this will overwrite the epic proc, as a 5 min buff won't be in your bard buffs, it will be in your melee buff slots. So... slightly better haste base and added stats=win.

Take note. By the time you get this item, you've probably been raiding regularly in the planes and have items with the effects of all the other instrument types. By the time you recieve this "ultimate" bard weapon, you will be ready to shelve your Epic. I still think getting white scales was a lot harder......

Yes, the epic does have all instrumetns, but that is at 1.8 mod. In elementals with a little work and getting the right pieces it is EASY to replace all mods with different pieces at a higher rate. It is fairly easy to have gear that will run you with at least a 2.0 or greater mod for all instruments.
My main question would be does the singing mod from this stack with epic? Would further negate the need for Amp once I get VoTS.
Similar to the Epic, the haste probably will not add to the other hastes... but the other effects (attack, strength) will. Looks like a straight upgrade effect to Dance of the Blade. 50 attack (that'll be +70 displayed) on a clicker is huge.
The singing modifier is what makes this weapon though. Wow.

Posted:Jun 26 2003 at 2:32 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The epic does stack with other hastes. If you look at Lucy's http://lucy.fnord.net/spell.html?id=1937 under stacking you'll see it stacks with just about everything. It brings anyone with a minumum of 45% spell and/or item haste up to the 100% haste cap, which requires warsog or ervaj's to exceed. Of course, with 60% haste spell and a 30% haste item, the epic proc doesn't add that much, but hey.
The epic EFFECT stacks with other haste spells. That does not mean that the haste component does.
Ex.1) Chanter casts VQ on a group, and a bard procs epic (or clicks this!) The VQ has the higher haste - and predominates - however the bard adds the STR and pure ATCK to the group. Ex.2) Low level shammy hastes group (say, 40% or so... ) Bard procs epic. The Bard's haste predominates, although the shammy's buff icon remains (and that's good, cause the proc only lasts a few mins). Note that if the bard procs epic BEFORE, the shammy won't be able to buff the group with the weaker haste. Need to click off the bard buff.
Only a couple things are STACKED hastes - and are bard songs (best = Rizlona's) - which will stack with other spell hastes, and will allow you to go over the haste cap.
for the eleventy-millionth time: Haste = Item + best Spell + overstacked Bard song.
This isn't an epic weapon like the particle weapon quests from Kunark, but it is a very nice weapon. We got it from Innoruuk last night, and it appears that the effect stacks with item + chanter haste, meaning you max out haste, and the extra atk is very handy IMHO. The bard that got this said a little joke last night that went something along the lines of, "Well I guess this will help my powerleveling ability." Well I thought it was funny...
After looking at this and then looking at my SSS, this looks as though SOE updated the bard's epic. This is a sweet bard item and I am soooo looking forward to one.
