Torch of the Elements  

 

At 65, with no mount, and completely solo in the game I figured out how to get up there and get the pull. I needed levitate, a water pet, a healer merc, and invis helped speed things along.

1) Get the first key from the Captain of the guard. He spawned for me in the northern wing just past the gate after the bridge. There's doors to go in on the ground floor and a sort of main room with 5 spawns inside. He was one of those spawns after i cleared the room a couple times.

2) Once you have the key, get through the door at the back of the main floor. In the hallway go to the right till the end and turn right to go up the ramp. At some point along that ramp there is a fake wall you can walk through to get to the see through ramp outside that takes you to the top level.
- Note: I've never used that. I go to the roof level and go out the door that is to your right. Clear that pathway and levitate yourself. There is a house roof to the right that you can float over to and get to the top of. From that peak, you can see and easily run over to the see through ramps.

3) At the top of the see through ramps, go around the first building to the back side. Then cross the bridge to the second building.

4) At the second building, the door is locked. Still using levitate, got on top of the wall and then the post where the wall meets the building. From there, float around to the back side of the building.

5) Take the bridge to the 3rd building. Keeping levitate running helps make sure you don't fall through the holes in the ground.

6) At the 3rd building where Neh'Ashiir spawns, clear the area of adds. Stand or sit very close to the door and an add comes to hit you from the room.

7) Use a water pet and buff him up 100%. I also use a healer merc due to my level. If you are way higher, you may not need to but at 65 it helps.

8) Stand as close to the door as you can and /pet attack a black reaver

9) Your pet will target and attack the reaver, killing it. It will either respawn the reaver a random number of times or spawn Neh'Ashiir.

Notes:
- Respawn timer on the reaver is 2 hours after Neh'Ashiir is killed
- If you kill the reavers, sometimes your pet doesn't auto-aggro Neh'Ashiir. You can get your pet to attack by /pet attack Neh (note, do not use the full name, just "Neh"
- I've been able to pull Neh'Ashiir from the room by having my pet back off just 1 time. This is why i have the healer merc. I can't see the mob so I can't help.
- Does not always drop the torch. I've killed her 3 times now and no torch yet.

Took me about two hours. You don't need to get the door picked if you're smart. First loot a stone key so you can get past the first door that leads to the long corridor. Once you make it to the transparant platforms, you'll reach a locked door at some point. Just stand on the rail and lev over to the next platform instead. Then lev over to the final hut. Stick your face into the door and mount up. You should be able to now "see" through the door. You can target the mobs and kill them with your pet. I killed the first black reaver and then the named spawned immediately. He didn't drop the torch. I then waited about an hour and a half and saw another black reaver spawn. I killed that one, and then another black reaver spawned immediately (so I guess I got lucky to get two place-holders back to back). I killed that third reaver and then named popped. Finally got the torch on the 2nd named kill.

over 24 hours trying to camp this 20+ kills and not one drop, why is something that is now so useless still so hard to get....how did people put up with this ultra rare crap back during the day of kunark 1.5+ hours resawn timer and ULTRA rare drop, this is rediculous

It dropped tonight from the Shaman version when we killed it tonight for a guildie's epic. I've killed the Shm version a few times now and the torch seems to be fairly common from him. Granted, a 'few times' is not a good statistical sample, so I'll drag out that tired phrase.. Your Mileage May Vary.

I got this in 1 kill for my mage at level 32 on Vazaelle (Maelin)

Ran up there with my 65 ranger, killed him once. Logged for around 4 hours, came back and someone shouted he was by entrance. Ganked him , got torch 2nd kill.

If this can be MQ'ed I have it avalible on Torvonnillous. =) Send Fyful a tell.

I've killed Neh 8 times with no luck. So I've given up and want to buy an MQ. So if anyone on the E'ci server has one of these the are willing to MQ, send a tell to Iantwo or Berserkest or Eqplaya or Lordon. Or even email me at tearabite@selcouth.com

I hate that this game is such a game of chance, with these quests that you have to get lucky to finish.

Does anyone know if the torch can be MQ'd? If so, what's the MQ worth?
