You can make these using Crows Special Brew as a skin (store bought). I do this sucessfully. However, when I go to learn the recipe, it shows as needing a puma skin instead of the Crows. So I am having to make them manually instead. Anyone else have this problem??

Thanks for the great find Ottornaut!!

So, if you use the tanaan pottery wheel next to Sheley Couritan then the recipe using crows special brew is there ;)

There are a lot of recipes that only appear if using the required container - even though we all agree they SHOULD work anyway! ;)

Mixing bowl is a typical example - some recipes are only available using that and then logiclaly some recipes will never been seen using that since it only has four slots - yes that part makes sense ;)
The logic is one way and makes sense but EQ devs apply it both ways but not all the time - like for example the door to nowhere used in housing zones - they are not nested despite years and years of bug reporting....excuse the rant its late here ;)

It also does not say, but I tried Low Quality rockhopper hides as well as cat pelts (as the other vials require), but it did not work. The requirement is apparently for Medium Quality pelts and above.

This recipe does not show it but you also need some kind of skin like is used for sealed poison vial. It also seems to be a "No Fail" combine.
My pottery skill is 193... I made 94 successful combines in a row and my skill did not go up at all.

It's not no-fail, i used it to grow from 168 to 190 so far, you just didnt had luck :)
