63 Ranger eq/am2/headshot solo kill. found him in the first room on the right after the entrance, the one with the bugs in back. he was standing in the middle, snared him (used extended range snare necklace) and he drew no agro as he came to fight me at the entranceway. I used root and shoot, he got loose a few times, it got somewhat close, but no real challenge. Conned dark blue. Dropped chestplate and book.
64 druid and 63 war able to duo him and fight to him?
MY 65 Druid has solo'd him since 60...

61 pally and 58 druid (me) can solo this guy.. so you two shouldnt have a problem, but pally does use pacify, keep that in mind

My husband and I have killed him twice (in one evening) and got the breastplate twice. Personally, I would rather have the mask. He is DB to us at 58, and was a walk in the park. He single pulled through the little group using Incapacitate. Went down like a sack of rocks. Easy kill. We'll have to see how many times this continues to drop.
He popped in 2 different spots around the fire, randomly. Didn't have any pop for an hour or so, then 2 popped within 30 minutes.

When you enter Acrylia, take your first right, and then enter the first room on the right. At the back of the room is a campfire. Next to the campfire is a rock. The primalist spawns on that rock. He has PH's, but he's always spawned on that rock for us. Repop time is around 30 mins.

Uhhh...yeah it is. Grimling Primalist is blue to my 56 beastlord, green to my 64 druid. It is his rare drop. Also drops Grimling Skin Mask (12AC, +12 Str, +12 Wis, + 12 Int, + 12 DR). I've killed him 3 times, got the chestplate once. The "Legend of Lies" book used in Grimling Forest quest is dropped everytime.

The mob isn't a beastlord...primalist doesn't = beastlord for NPCs. All the Primalist ever does for me is melee, no casting.

Maybe the beastlord mob just happened to be a blacksmith or perhaps he just rolled up some plate class and kept this chestplate as a momento of his kill... IMO the "realistic" aspect of what a mob should and should not drop only goes as far as one's ability to roleplay and think outside of the box. Just my
