The reason most druids find the clicky on these useless is not because it sucks, but because it sucks in comparison to the other clicky leggings from elemental armor quests. Chanters get a free haste, Wizzies get a free memwipe, sham and necro get a pretty nice free DoT, and the list goes on and on. But Druids get a clicky DS?
Yes, the stats are nice, but at the point in game when you can get these leggings, stats arent the only thing you look at in equipment. Anywho, that's just my 2cp.

Had a chance for these and passed. Yes, imo, the effect is useless. On a raid you will NEVER be asked for a damage shield. There is always somebody there with a better one or the MT doesn't want to waste a buff slot. By the time you get a chance at these the mobs you are fighting for exp have 20K HP. This puny little DS is a waste to even bother with. Get it for the stats - fine. But the effect blows.

Wow, I like my Wanderer's Sylvan Leggings much more than this, sure the stats are much better but I love the having clicky root. I would rarely use a clicky dmg shield, even with a 1 second cast. Kinda a disappointment to me, I was expecting druid elemental leggings to be useful.
i will give ONE reason why ornate version of druid legs sucks: the castign time of root on legs is 3.0 seconds. Teh castign tiem on SPELL is 1.5 second, if you are a solo druid who relies on a root (or I use root in group to park adds off) the half time castign diffrence means a loot. And yes i will take clicky Legacy of Braken any day over clicky root

What is up with that? Don't group much? I hate to tell the druids in this thread, but you are SUPPORT in a group. I can't tell you how many times tanks yell "DS!" at me during a fight. You think an item which has a mana-free, group form, one-second cast time spell with the best DS for our class is useless? That's pretty scary.
Wow some Druids in here are thinking that this effect sucks??? A druid who doesn't keep DS on the tank is the kind druid that makes people think that druids are useless. (Hehe wonder if I coulda fit the word Druid in that sentence any more times) And the ability to do that mana free.....great in my book. Plus good stats and resists.
