I dont post much but I saw this nifty little item in the bazaar. Thought I'd check it out on allak. Decided to test whether or not it stacks with SCR. Im guessing it does because my buffs have gone up significantly. Maybe you guys who disagree will have something to flame me about
Yes it will affect spells up to level 70, it just loses 10% per level. So a 66 spell would be 13.5% and 67 would be 12% etc... Wearing a tactician's shield until I can finish my 1.5. But I have no Ext. Enhancement, might be worth getting for that. Have a 52 shammy that would be nice for too.
Read the post above this. That person is 100% correct. It loses 10% per level over cap, meaning 10% of 15, so therefore it loses 1.5% per spell above 65. So therefore, a level 70 spell will be 7.5% ext if you were to equip this prior to casting.
Bought this and I switch it on whenever I buff. Really helps with downtime and everything because it's the little things that make it a really big thing
My main has made this.. her pottery is 200 .. but it was pure luck.. as with many things she has made that are way over her head.. SONY V .. SOMETIMES lets her do that.. and she is crazy enough to try it :)
This is trivial at 295 not 250 so make sure you have skill 240 + 5% or you will most likely fail, not that you have a good chance anyway LOL. Great item just uber tough to make.

Get a 250 skill, and you will see that you dont get the message that you can no longer advance your skills with this item on an attempt. Another that comes to mind is Misty Thicket Picnics, which is reported to have a trivial of around 335, and Hobgoblin Surprise around 300.
240 skill +5% mod = 262, Hard cap is 252, meaning actually, you will have a better chance of succeeding than making it at 250 skill with no mod, 250 with mod will be exactly the same however. Since the addition of teh Tradeskill UI (which most of these posts pre-date) we have found many of these trivials are accurate, and yes, the hard cap on tradeskill is 252, even if you are at 250and have a 15% modifier for said skill.
If you are, were, or want to be a beast lord check this out,... put the Summoners Boon aug that you buy from NRo LDoN on this shield... it will increase the size, stats, AND buff duration of your warder, should work with other classes too, but it's just pimp that it's range and adds MUCH needed ac for us leather wearers, just a little hint a friend showed me.

I must disagree with your statements. Pottery, while not the hardest of the tradeskills, actually requires you to collect dropped items, or at least get someone to imbue items. to GM.
You can grandmaster JC sitting in one room, nver moving further than to switch targets from the metals merchant to the gemas merchant.
Mind you, jewelcraft isn't CHEAP to GM this way, but it sure as heck isn't hard.
IMO, JC is the EASIEST skill to GM.
Also, note that the fast skillups that pottery USED to give, were nerfed, at least for post 200, in a patch several months ago.
I'd have to agree with Pottery is a much more difficult skill to GM then JC. I personally GM JC around lvl 40 w/ my enchanter who didn't even have INT capped at 255. Currently w/ 290 INT I've been working with Pottery skill ups post 200 skill and I must say the combine vs skill-up ratio is ungodly aweful compared to my experience JC (keep in mind I had lower INT w/ JC thus in theory should have had a harder time with) not to mention farming for pottery skill ups is either very time consuming or expensive if you gather supplies from /bazaar vendors. As for stacking issues with the 8th shawl Clan asked, no the 8th shawl and Ceramic Shield of Valor do not stack (8th shawl taking precidence as it's 20% ext), however the AAs for extended enhancements do stack and are well worth it imo! I have heard talk about extended enchancement caps, but have yet to find reliable information on whether or not those exist and to what limit. Anyone have some info they'd like to share before I spend my next 8 AAs in class for SCRM for my 20% more ext enchancment? I'd hate finding out I was already capped and couldn't reimbursed for those AAs, would be a waste.
Many thanks in advance Sage Epochal 65 Enchanter DRo Slave to the trades~
Spell casting reinforcement, in the archetype abilities is 30%, at level 3. However, the CLASS ability spell casting reinforcement mastery increases the extension to 50%
See the following site, for description of the class abilities:
Absolutely put this in the range slot....It has nice stats and an extra 15% DURATION ON BUFFS MEAN LESS DOWNTIME...Plus you can still keep that 35 AC shield...:-)
