I just recently started playing my lvl 37 wizard again and was camping this item, 2 iksar scaled gloves and 3 tamborine or rituals later I found it in the bazaar for 50pp. Not once have i seen this item drop, the rate seems to be very rare. So just a little advice, keep doing that bazaar search for "Grass" everytime you're there, saved me lots of time.

After camping this for 2 hours and not getting a damn thing, and getting KSed by some stupid Ranger and his buddy, I finally got this to drop off of a Goblin Soothesayer... /sigh ... so much for just killing the witchdoctors
Must really be the luck of the draw, I went to WW ready for a long camp. I zoned into WW from field of bone and started following the path, not far from the zone I came to a small broken down building with 2 witchdoctors in it, the first one I pulled and killed had the idol /shrug

Found the Idol of Woven Grass on a Goblin Bonecharmer in the Frontier Mountains. So for those playing on FV, it's a second chance to get it for yourself without TLC-ing since the goblins in FM are DB to me at 39th season.

Kept going for hours and hours, got a Ranger helping me tracking. 3 hours one doll. Gave it to a companion for the quest, since that none. We must have killed over 40 Wichdoctors over the time. So Common, I doubt it.
The picture already shows this, but allakhazam's description doesn't yet... in addition to being able to equip this in your secondary melee slot, in can also be worn in your neck slot.

Ok...I don't know whats going on, but I killed goblins for well over 5 hours strait. I saw Grachnist 9 times (all of which he droped the gloves) but thats beside the point. I killed enough witchdoctors to make a pile that would reach luclin. And never did I once see this idol. Is it just rare or was I doing something wrong. Looking to buy one on Tunare server.

Luck of the draw I guess... because the goblin fort is exactly where I got mine, off of the first goblin witchdoctor I killed. I don't know how rare they are, because once I got one, I didn't bother trying to get more... but ZI know for a fact that the witchdoctors in the fort can and do drop them. Also got two tambourines off the soothsayers here. Killed Grachnist three times, dropped only gloves each time, except for one time that he also dropped the Goblin Slave Whip or something to that effect. This was in in the space of about 2 hours clearing the fort.
It must drop off of something else than gobbos in fort. I have collected 10 or more of the Shrunken Goblin Skull Earrings so I am pretty much an expert on the camp ;) I dont think I have ever seen this idol unless it is new because as of recent I dont bother looting corpses anymore. Your toons are too high to make use of this anyway....is it for a quest?

Yes, it is new, came out with PoP. A lot of the PoK quests use items that were newly added to pre-PoP zones. (Tambourine of Rituals also falls into this category; it never existed before PoP, but now it does, dropping in Warsliks Woods of off most of the casting goblins.)
